Check 1:26 onwards. Cold hard truth especially relevant to the likes of Flex "i dont like bb rows cos they hurt" Wheeler. :-*
-
Does he mean like the "lazy" American bodybuilder that beat him in 1991 (Lee Haney)?
Or that other "lazy" 8-time Mr. Olympia (Ronnie Coleman)?
Or is it that "lazy" bodybuilder that, some say, should have beaten him in 1994, when Yates showed up with 11/2 biceps and a ultra-wide waist (Shawn Ray)?
-
yes
dorian trained much harder, than say ronnie coleman
-
Lazy is doing 4 sets per bodypart at 3 reps each.
-
lazy is not putting everything you got into the sets
-

that guy from Mentzer videos trained a LOT harder then Yates then, since we can saw him almost crying and cursing Mentzer itself on the video... ???
-
I can't believe you homos are debating "how hard" did these guys train.
Can you think of something more vain than this.
-
well he was speakin the truth at the time,,, ian harrison used to say the same thing, as did alot of the british lads at that time,,, theyd go to whatever gym it was, see a bunch of the top americans and notice they just played around, talked between sets and generaly took it easy.. ive heard this too many times not to take it as a truth
-
I like how Yates says he was mixed up as a youngster, then started
heavily abusing steroids bodybuilding...which was something positive. ::)
-
He's 100% right especially when you look at guys like Flex, Dillet and Nasser.
-

How would you argue it wasn't positive for him? His health? What do know about it?
-
I was at Golds Venice 5 years ago, and this pencil
neck was there. He must have been a buck 80, at most.
i looked at him and said to myself, "I know this guy from somewhere,"
only to look up and to my amazement it was him.
-

What does that matter...Cold ain't shit once you stop bullshitting and start lifting ..But if it's 100 degrees.....And start doing some heavy, heavy lifts...you're only going to get hotter ,,Then what? Coleman even takes it to the streets and starts doing lunges in the streets.. Coleman has been around before Yates, and lasted way longer than Yates, won more Sandows than Yates..Anything else ..?
-

Correction, Flex said he like to do 400+ pound barbell rows, because they hurt. Remember, Flex competed at 216-232 in the pros, but Yates was 250+, a world of difference, and Dorian used heavier weight for back exercises. I do think that if Flex were to do 400+ barbell rows, his lats would look sick as hell.

My apologies Mr. Shadow for the way over due congradulations on your six Mr. Olympia's. With no disrespect to you or anyone else for that matter. The United States is Bodybuilding. Always has been, always will be.
Um, ok.
Olympias have been won by nationals from UK, Lebanon, Austria, Cuba etc. 'Regular' shows have been won by Australians, West Indians, Germans, other Europeans etc. Bodybuilding has very strong American participation yes, but is worldwide. Just think..old timers like Arnold, Oliva, Nubret, Bannout, Munzer etc - and later guys like Ruhl, Priest, Wolf, Dareem, Milos, Dillet, Mustafa, Gustavo, Gunther, Hide, Rockel, Nasser, Bautista etc - and yes..even Kovacs ;D
-
90LBERS TRAIN HARDER THAN ANYONE I KNOW HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A 90LBER TRAIN THEY STRAIN, GRUNT, MOAN, ETC.. IN THE GYM LIKE NO OTHER THATS HARDCORE BRUTAL TRAINING RIGHT THERE.
-
He's 100% right especially when you look at guys like Flex, Dillet and Nasser.
Paul Dillet is Canadian you moron.
-
Dorian is better!
I know you'e a filthy fag who loves the cock...But ....What are you talking about ?
-
I think part of the reason why Mr. Olympia tends to be a consecutive title holder is based on prescribed memes. If a bodybuilder dominates the O, the dominant version of his physique is etched into the memories of the judges who use that to base their judging in other shows where said Mr. Olympia does not look as good. I'm not saying Dorian (or Ronnie for that matter) did not deserve some of their wins, but I don't feel either of them deserved all of them.
-
sonbaty trained damn hard...like a maniac at times ive heard :o
Nasser was hardly a heavy trainer. The evidence is in his videos. He spent more time posing in front of the mirror and swaggering about and coughing rather than training like a maniac. Most people who trained with Nasser have stated that his poundages were hardly impressive in relation to his size. He's not even in the Flex Wheeler category of hard training let alone Yates or Coleman. Just responds well to drugs like wheeler.
No doubt about it :D
Nice try lamplighterX
With reference to Yates comment - I think he may be referring to BBers in general rather than the hard workers like Coleman. Having said that I havent seen that many "hardworking" brits hit the big time.
-
ive seen the videos.

true,,ive seen ronnie coleman vids too,,he seems to enjoy his workouts by singigng and dancing on 2pac song in between sets....what a hard workin animal!!!
-
"Lazy"??
American bodybuilders work their ASSES off! How else does he think they're able to afford all their Hummers and Benzos??
-
I like how Yates says he was mixed up as a youngster, then started heavily abusing steroids bodybuilding...which was something positive. ::)
Hater....
Yates lived his dream......
BOOM!

Nasser was a true and real warrior. Very strong and disciplined. Built a better physique than the foul Yates but ,sadly, he lost some of his enthusiasm after the corrupt fixes that allowed Yates - a convicted criminal - to steal his Sandow.
Yates has no right to talk to anyone about lazy. A liar, a cheat, criminal and recovering substance abuser. oh yes, someone to realyl emulate.

No, I will never stop being angry about the corrupt fix in 1997 that actually ended up defrauding Nasser of a few million dollars (Mr O always make more money)
I despise Yates and have emailed him three times asking him to confirm if he deserve the 97. His silence shows his gutless cowardice.

Hmmm. Perhaps, he's waiting to see if his faceless accuser has the stones to confront him with these charges in person. ;)

Paul Dillet is Canadian you moron.
And Nasser?
They train and lived in the USA, it's the same shit.
They all weren't 50% the bodybuilder Dorian was, period.

He speaks the truth. Far too many so called bodybuilders here spend too much time chatting or walking back and forth to the water fountain, checking themselves in the mirror along the way.
-
Ronnie had naturally better genetics than Dorian. Same goes with Flex and Dillett. All had a lazy attitude towards working out. Dorian busted his ass in the gym and had to work THAT much harder, because he wasn't blessed with incredible genetics.
