I believe the 2001 video was posted a few months back...and it showed Jay being crushed---he was improved, but he still had no back compared to Ronnie...

Gonna have to get a hold of the video for this to see what all the fuss was about. Seems like it was quite a close call.

I had Ronnie winning due to his back and better posing and showmanship..but jay wasn't playing around..he was bringing it big time to Ronnie and after that, Ronnie got more serious about training and conditioning..witness 2002

This is an excellent post...I agree with you 1000%..if you look at this line-up, it shows you what bodybuilding used to be like....great personalities.....great competitors....very high quality physiques....and competition and shit-talking among the bodybuilders.....

I have to agree, looking back this may have been the greatest line-up of all time....many of the guys from number 8 on down to 15 would actually beat many of the guys today....

i was at this show and Jay clearly beat Ronnie at the prejudging--Smoked him..Ronnie looked fricken pregnant at this show holding a shit load of water..99 % of the people in attendance felt the same way..Ronnie came out at night tighter and worked hard for his title..Jay was a little to laid back and should have been more aggressive..ronnie looked shocked and relieved when he won..

He was badly beaten during prejudging, and from what I have heard, was basically walking around backstage with a look of defeat on his face. NO ONE expected Jay Cutler to appear from out of nowhere looking like he did!

I still cannot believe Ronnie made up THAT MANY points from the night show, it's just impossible. Typical IFBB judging bullshit.
