Can't remember my last beer, lol, but to answer your question...

- Alfa bier, which has a fresh/light taste. It's a unique beer since it's the only Dutch beer with water from an underground spring.
- 'Witbier', which isn't a brand but a type of beer (wheat beer). Almost any brand of 'witbier' is good, but Wieckse Witte is the most famous one.

My favorite beers however, are Hoegaarden from Belgium (both their yellow and their wheat beer) and... tadaaaa...., Tuborg, which has a similar fresh taste as Alfa.

Hoegaarden is both mine and my wife's favourite drink! Good taste.

orange chicken with grilled vegetables!

lots of mistakes, once again, but delicious nonetheless.  I was amazed how little oil the chicken soaked up... only 18 grams!  And some of that dripped off, evaporated, absorbed into the paper towel...

ceph, if that orange chicken is kind of crispy, then I would like the recipe.

duck with Chinese sauce and crunchy vegetables. Nice dish.
Now, I am drinking a cuba libre cocktail (no homo). Life isn't too bad.

I based it on my memory of this video:

http://www.theartofcooking.org/chinese-american-recipes/make-orange-chicken/

But my version was simple, without a recipe:

Season chicken (350-450g) however you like
Mix with 30-40g water, 15g oil, 30g corn starch
Fry at 350 until light gold (it won't get as dark as flour batter)

Orange sauce:

Boil 15g sugar in 100g water
Reduce at strong simmer
Add 50g citrus juice
Reduce until thick
Alternately, lower heat and add slurry to thicken (see video)
Remove from heat and add 10g rice vinegar

my first attempt at a somewhat more "authentic" yakisoba

... but with grilled (and blurry) seitan!  this stuff is delicious (no homo).  had it at a vegan thai place (no homo) for the first time last week

buckwheat noodles.  had to try three times, and they still came apart at the end.  low-gluten noodle of peace... gonna take some practice.  still, worth it!  delicious!

"restraint"

all together now

didn't get a pic of the sauce in progress, but i used my usual tonkatsu sauce.  turned out pretty good.

Your off season was a bit too relaxed?

I see, never heard of that type. Is it's taste/texture comparable with tilapia?
