How many minutes after waking do you consume your first protein of the day, and why?
-
30-40 mins
-
1440 minutos
-
I train at Home.
100grams of Gatorade and 20 gram of creatine when i first wake up and train for about an hour 1/2 then ingest 60 grams of whey protien and 40 carbs
-
try bear claws, i swear by them...
-
Probably 5 minutes. Drink 20 grams of whey and then eat a meal 45 mins later.
-
I take in 40 grams of way at precisely 1.5 minutes after waking up,but my body only utilizes 21.8 grams of it. :)
-
After I wake up I go right into the kitchen and make a protein shake with fat free milk, a banana, and a scoop of peanut butter...then eat 3 whole eggs and 4 egg whites an hour or so later.
-
I don't take protein shakes anymore

any particular reason why not? have you noticed any changes since you stopped doing it?
-
I wake up and wait about 15-20 minutes before I eat a meal!

I wanted to see if I would be able to notice any in my body..and I haven't
also I wanted to live a lifestyle that was maintainable long term..I don't see myself drinking shakes and taking supplements when I am 40+ years.
why can't I just work out hard and eat a sensible diet and still have a decent build?
plus also the supplement industry is just getting too crazy, at some point you have to say "this shit just isn't true"...look in any magazine..you really can't believe any of that crap

But shakes are so convenient man... :)

As long as it takes to cook, which is about 7 minutes
-
seven minutes my ass...besides the shakes should be used imho in conjunction with food... but i know a couple of guys who feel the same way about not taking supps...whatever works for ya...

Don't do any cardio before breakfast, never.
And Debussey only do H.I.T. cardio anyway, and doing that on an empty stomach would equal major pain.

20 grams of creatine??
That's idiotic, you'll piss out 15g of that.

You're right, it makes no difference if you take in shakes or not...I just view them as a convenience. If you're going to eat several meals per day, making a couple of them a shake makes life easier.
For 240's question, I get up, go to the bathroom, and then eat...so immediately would be the answer.
-
Same here. I wake up, piss, go in the kitchen and eat. I'm always very hungry as soon as I wake up.
-
i eat my oatmeal first then with it i drink a 26 gram protein blend....its got whey isolate, some casien, some egg protein, soem bcaa, some glutamine, and some whey concentrate...
-
IS this during diet phase or offseason?
-
theres not much better then my 2 servings of oatmeal and my wild berry slushie first thing in the morning

I guess I'll jump in this thread. I usually eat my first meal about thirty minutes after waking up (which contains protein).
-
breakfast
-
Typically about ten minutes after i wake up (depending if i have to piss or shit, possibly fifteen minutes) I mix up a small carton of eggwhites, yogurt, oats, and slurp that bitch down. Then head to work. Very fast and quite yummy.
When im feelin REAL hardcore i'll blend up some tuna and put it in with the yogurt YARRR HARCOOOOORE
-
first meal of my day is a combination of high complex carb (sometimes with simple ones) and milk -full fat.. i guess i don't get
a good dose of animal protein
-
if i had a nice "HOTTIE", i'd be consuming "TITTIE MILK" all day long! ;D
