"as i said before when i was running a gym in nyc freddie used to work out there ,in fact i was talking about freddie with my old training partner who became very fiendly with freddie ,frieddie used to go to his house and we would sit around and relax,any way my friend and i were talking the other day about how freddie was a genius ,cause this is how i remeber how he worked out ,most of the time ,all i ever saw him do mostly was ,he would do weighted dips ,on a dipping bar ,then he would do wide grip chins to the upper chest with weight hanging from his waist ,then he would do chins with a close grip,again to his chest ,then he would do seated slight incline dumbell curls ,but he would bring them up sort of like on a 45% angel to his chest ,and that was it ,i dont remember him doing any dirct triceps exercises or any thing else he had great form and very steady sort of slow rythem ,and then he would leave ,thats it ,i only saw him once do a bench press ,.well of course me and my friend at that time used to say freddie is screwing with our heads cause we certainly believed he would go to another gym and work out more,how could he look like the way he looked and be like that on so little training since the fad dureing those days was lots of sets ,i myself used to train my arms for over an hour each time ,i ws doing 30sets of arm work ,and everyone else was training like us so he coulnt possably be training that way well when we got to hang out with him we questioned hima few times about he must train more in another gym and he said everybody thinks he has a secrete,but the way we see him train is really the way he trains ,so the other day when i was talking to my training partner in the park we got to talking about freddie and how he was doing and we got to talk about his training routine,if you anylise what he did he was a genuise ,for one thing he found out the right combonation for training the least amount for the biggest gains ,and if you anyalise what he did he worked every muscle in his upper body with that routine ,it was brillant ,and he did not do alot of sets ,that routine pumps your whole upper body ,and when he would be backstage at a contest evryone else was doing aRM WORK AND LAT WORK PUMPING UP ,FREEDIE WOULD JUST DO SOME EASY pushups between two chairs and that was it ,and i tell you when he came in the gym to workout he was huge ,he was vey short ,he had veins and seperation and he was one of the first ones to develope split biceps ,his lats were huge also ,with an unbelivable small waist ,he seemed to be in contest shape all year round ,he never got fat and what was more surprising was whenever we hung out with him he did not eat big,a tue freak of nature (and i mean that in a good sense)and over the years he got bigger ,dureing those years at his peak i would say except for sergio, freddie had the biggest shoulder to waist deferrental at that time ,he had one of the best upper bodies,maybe one of the top three "
