shoulders, arms (more bi's than tri's it looks like), lat width.

Are you smaller than before?

For chest, need more lower pecs I think along with more outer- dips seem like the answer. I hae also found decline db press to be a tremendous pec movement.

So basically everything  ;D
My bi's suck, I know.

Are you smaller than before?

I have been bigger a few years ago, had a few minor injuries. Right now I'm cutting, but I try to get a few suggestions for the next bulk. Hopefully this time I will surpass my former bulks.

I just recently started dips again. Have to try decline db. Thanks a lot for your advice!

lol @ "basically everything" ;D

you've posted some pics before in which you were pretty ripepd and seemed to carry more muscle mass, that's why I asked.

You think working on your weaknesses while cutting helps any? I have some to work on, but I'm not cuz I'm cutting right now/

In the cut pics from the previous thread I was smaller (around 155lbs) and I don't think I had more muscle on me, so that's probably just the illusion of being cut. In the bulk pics from the previous thread however, I was bigger (around 180-185lbs I think).

You think working on your weaknesses while cutting helps any? I have some to work on, but I'm not cuz I'm cutting right now

As I said, I'm just looking for suggestions for after the cut. I guess during the cut, it doesn't make too much of a difference. Right now I'm just trying to hang on to as much muscle as possible.

I would just stick with the basic compound movements and pack on some mass. No need to get all fancy - squat, dead, bench, military, chin, bent rows etc while eating good solid foods and being consistent is really all you need.

 more over all mass

you might want to start your shoulder day with rear delts and start your chest day with incline presses tho....those two are a little bit behind the rest of your body

Thanks, I know, more mass is the goal for the next bulk. I also want to go back to the basics this time.

Good idea starting with rear delts. For chest I usually alternate between flat and incline presses as the first movement.

Especially my bi's have always been a weak point. I want to concentrate more on them this time.

Thanks a lot for all your suggestions!

I do chins for every back workout. Plan on doing T-bars again. Regarding forearms, unfortunally, all my small muscle groups suck, I already tried all kinds of exercises. Thanks for your advise anyway!

Toooons of potential...what are your goals?

Be a beach p*ssy magnet or get as big as possible?

Either way, nice big basic power moves will do the trick, especially if your natty.  Just don't get caught up in some crazy pro workout routine that will burn you out and make you smaller...People make this shit too much of a science...just eat good and do basic movements, stay clean, you're on your way!

Thanks for the 'tons of potential', you make it sound like I'm a teenager  ;D
I have been bigger in the past, but have to be cautious since I'm kind of prone to injuries when I go too heavy. I would like to hit 200lbs in decent condition once in my life. Kind of the physique you show in your pics but I'm not sure it's gonna happen.  :'(

And thanks for the training advise, I've been mostly doing basic movements (my first training partner was a powerlifter). I'm too lazy for sissy exercises anyway.  ;D

The back double bi makes my arms look even smaller than they actually are. I think in the front duoble bi, they look better.
My biceps and forearms have always been a weak point, same as with my calves. I don't have good genetics for the small muscle groups as it appears. Any suggestions?

Not bad at all - I think they are normal... back double bi was somewhat misguiding.
As for bicep, mine are short and curling did almost nothing for them, but chinups/pullups made them grow.
Try some extreme Doggcrap-stretches - before stretching pump up the musclegroup via a light high rep set.

What do you currently do for them?

Tried alot of things. The best results came from heavy back exercises, not direct biceps training. Right now I'm doing different types of curls, but never get the feeling that they do much.

Althogh my arms are rather long, it's exactly the same with mine.
I'll try the DC stretches, thanks for the advice!

It's not an optical illusion, they're sticks. The only advantage is that they make the upper arms appear a little larger.  :-\

My guess would be around 11% BF, my back is usually more defined than my front. I'd like to get in real ripped condition this time, just to see what it looks like.

Try hanging from a chinup bar - hands pronated and forearms as flexed as your strength allows.
High tension and static contraction, after that stretch hard for at least 60 secs.

Just hang there, till you drop - maybe 5secs, maybe 10, ... 60 or more.
Hands close together... watch out if you have tender wrists... warm up before.

You said the word. Don't you know that's the forbidden word?

 ;D

My initial goal was certainly not to look like that, I wanted to get huge of course. I have a hard time putting on size and an even harder time to get rid of the fat without losing all the muscle. I'm not that serious anymore and just do it for fun now. I'll probably end up looking pretty scrawny on this diet, but I just want to know what it looks like since I've never been really ripped.

When I'm not on a stupid diet, I pretty much eat what I like (including Wiener Schnitzel).
When I'm on a stupid diet, I sip on a protein shake during the day, just to be sure to get a minimum in. I eat out for lunch, but stay away from the greasy stuff. No breakfast. Low-fat evening snack. I don't count calories. When I feel like it, I "carb up", e.g. see pic above.  ;D

To lean down I have to torture myself, otherwise it's a no go; this means boiled meat/fish with green veggies and tons of low carb protein shakes...only thing that does it...

I did that too for quite some time. But what it comes down to is deficiency of calories and a minimum of protein intake. At least for my body. And eating out beats preparing meals, especially if you have a busy schedule.

Of course it's torture, but with my plan it's only torture in the evening. In the morning I'm not hungy anyway.

BTW.: The pic is no joke. Of course I can only do that every other week or so, but you gotta have something to keep sane.

I kind of have that, since I'm starting to drink my protein at about 10am. The only thing I can stomach earlier than that is fat. Plain carbs (like oats etc.) or proteins give me the cramps in the morning. Has always been like that. I do try to get in some good fats right after I wake up (usually 10g of sesame/walnut/poppyseed/flax oil) along with a multivitamin, but that's about it.

I already tried alot of different approaches with carb intake. It seems like I can't go low with carbs without losing size and strength. So I rather try to go low on fat than on carbs. But maybe I will give carb cycling another shot, just with higher numbers. Thanks for the advice!

That's post surgery, I told them to remove all my facial flaws.  :-\
Could have been worse though, at first they wanted to behead me.

True. My back gets defined rather quickly while (especially the back) of my arms have never been ripped in my life. That's the challenge this time. Arms, chest, and legs ripped.

You mean why I transform myself from a beefy muscle hunk into a skinny anorexic?
Beats me, I thought that's what bodybuilding is all about. :D

My goal is to get arms and legs ripped, those seem to be the last ones to come in.
I only do it for the heck of it and to find out how many bodybuilding myths I can debunk. ;D

And thanks a lot for the kind words. :)

You look pretty lean, why don't you try and add more muscle mass?

The starting point of this cut was not very good, size wise. I have been bigger in the past. I went for it anyway, just for the heck of it. It's only a hobby.

More mass on the next bulk, I hope. Right now I want to see how far my current cutting diet can take me.

Looking chiseled there wavelength, whats your BF % these days?
I've always used the same dieting approach but with cardio and slightly more protein, keen on trying the no cardio and 0.5g protein per lb thing out this time around.

Thanks a lot, Eisenherz!

I don't know my BF, haven't meassured yet on this diet, but I was estimated 7%. I think I'm more like 8-9% right now, however. I actually take in about 1g/lb LBM. I know that below 0.5g is not enough for me, I have also tried that some time ago. Cardio never did anything for me except that I could eat a little more on the same rate of weight loss.

I disagree. He is obviously natural, and under the BEST conditions, wont gain anymore than 3-5 lbs of PURE muscle in a year. "bulking/cutting" being natural is very counterproductive. Stay lean, gain slow.

just saw this thread.  you made some kick ass improvement.

So you basically eat one big meal usually around lunch and supplement with protein shakes?  Do you lift big or just go in and lift with what you feel like?  I know you said you are a slacker and I find myself just going through the motions sometimes because I am a slacker as well.   ;D

I do not like eating all of the time but of course that is always what you  hear when you talk ramping up the metabolism.

good job man.

Yes that's right, 100g whey and one big meal.

I enjoyed lifting from the first day I started. I have no problem lifting intense, but that's just because I really like it. It only sucks when I'm injured and can't lift heavy, like at the moment. :-\

I think ramping up the metabolism via many small meals is highly overrated. I have done that and my current method actually works better regarding muscle preserving. Plus it's just more convenient and psychologically less taxing.
