Hey Coach, how's biz? Been to Sand Dune park lately? I use to hit that hill 3x/wk when I lived in Torrance and trained at the R1 training center on El Segundo Bl. At first I could barely walk up that hill then I got to running it 6 times and the last four it would be just half way up and then walk the rest of the way. I have bad knees so running on soft sand up hill was perfect. I miss that hill. Did it for years. Even when it was pouring rain because then I had the place to myself. Perfect cardio for BJJ/MMA because of the alternating high intensity and low intensity.
How's that socialist state you live in? Here in Hawaii it's not much better. And people want to trust the government to run health care.

I didn't know that. Quenton Tarantino use to live in the South Bay (what they called Torrance, Redondo, Hermosa, Manhattan Beach) and did some filming in that area. He filmed parts of Foxy Brown at the Del Amo shopping mall which was within walking distance from me. Believe it or not I use to rent videos from that kook when he worked at a video store in Hermosa Beach back in the VHS days.

Biz is busy right now. Most of the high schools just finished the season and will be back. Haven't been to Sand Dune Park since September but will be going back on the weekends in about 3 more weeks. Have some pics from the last time going up carrying 75 and 100lb sand bags then we were told we couldn't bring anything :-\

Why would you want to carry sand bags? Hill is hard enough as it is. At least it was for me. You must be training some real beasts.

No doubt it's hard even without sandbags.....but then again thats why I have the most well conditioned athletes around. Chaos will fill you in next week ;D

Do they still have problems with the ghetto blasters. People bust there butt working their asses off so they can afford those million dollar homes (that would probably go for less than $200,000 in Georgia or Texas) only to have these ass clowns pull up in front of their houses blasting that crap. And of course the homeys can't just run and train like
everybody else it was always "nig.ga this and nig.ga that." Not an ounce of consideration or class. I worked nights at the time so I could go around 1-2pm when it was blazing hot so it wasn't so bad except on wkends. I'd wear those water proof socks so sand wouldn't get in them. Going barefoot was too hot and shoes just fill up with sand.
