I had predicted that the show would come under scrutiny for steroids and that was the sole reason why they used smaller type gladiators than the huge bodybuilders of years past.

This is wake up call to the bodybuilding world. It seems their presence on national television is going to shrink to non existence unless someone in a leadership position steps up.

The federations and representatives of bodybuilding need to hire good public relations and spin experts to get Bodybuildeing out of the steroid scandal.

One way is to declare bodybuilding not a sport but a performance art and that an individual is free to use whatever means it is to express themselves as long as they do not hurt another individual.

That steroids is a way for them to achieve their goals as well as protect themselves from injury. That by limiting their creative freedom is limiting freedom of human expression and this is an afront to human progress. The human mind should never be shackled and bound and that all humans should be free to explore the limits of our capabilities and be free to test the boundaries of all of creation. If pharmacuticals are a part of that then so be it.
