The "visual " of 1000 troops in an area where there were zero troops previously is..in fact..a deterrent.   President Lord Bumblefuck now sees the value in this "visual " and he may also send some troops.

yes, lets send more national guard to do absolutely fuck all at a huge cost to the tax payers.
