So after 4 years and total rebuild, here it is. Former stock C10 Chev.
Running a Lexus V8 with twin turbos and twin superchargers.
Airbagged, chopped, hand rolled guards, body etc.
All beaten copper and brass throughout.
Finally got to drive it, sounds nuts.
The last shot is what it looked like before.

Very well done! I can tell the craftsmanship is top notch and the wood accents are a unique touch. I imagine that thing is insanely fast with the twin turbos and chargers. How fast and how much horsepower?

What's the weight and have you done some dyno pulls with it? What kind of fuel will you run with it? e85?

yes that has been done but some tuners don't like that setup. Apparently both systems rob from each other. Many prefer pure turbo or a big supercharger.
The theory is the supercharger provides instant power in the lower rpms and the turbo kicks in for the higher rpms. This is supposed to alleviate the lagging issues with big turbos spooling up. For a setup like this it is also recommended to go with a smaller blower (supercharger) to make it more effective.

It was done by Lancia with the monstrous S4, racing in Group B. Nissan also made the Micra Superturbo and VW made twincharging popular recently with its TSi engines.

It's a street show off thing really. It has been tried on track but it's never been particularly effective, especially as most race cars operate within a fairly narrow RPM band.

I suppose he could claim that's not why he chose it, that's not what it means, that's not its origin, etc, but to 99% of the population its connotation is German imperialism and its tenets. But I suspect bikers after WW2, who were aggressively counterculture, started up with it as another way to give everyone the finger. From there it got watered down along with every strongly held belief until it was deemed ready for plastic packaging and sale in the shopping mall. So maybe that's the variety we're seeing here.

This truck is badass. I don't understand the Lexus motor however...I thought LS engines were readily available Down under?
The choice of engine was really something the engineer/mechanic that was building it really wanted to try. I was all about putting a bigblock in it but he wanted the Lexas one so he could work the twin turbo/supercharge system. I just wanted it to sound good and run good, so I'm happy.

So after 4 years and total rebuild, here it is. Former stock C10 Chev.
Running a Lexus V8 with twin turbos and twin superchargers.
Airbagged, chopped, hand rolled guards, body etc.
All beaten copper and brass throughout.
Finally got to drive it, sounds nuts.
The last shot is what it looked like before.
