GH a waste on low carbs?
« on: January 24, 2012, 03:51:08 PM »
Contest dieting right now on 10iu novos ed.  I response well to low carbs, not keto, but less than 150g per day.  I was just reading though that your igf levels will be higher with carbs in your system?

Ive wondered this too, and will be dieting with gh for my next show.

Should we keep our carbs higher through the diet?  And go higher on carbs on refeed days as well?  Surely 10 ius of gh will keep the fat down.

igf-1 levels increase synergistically with insulin, so eating carbs will increase your igf-1 levels, yeah. though, these are your systemic igf-1 levels, which don't play a role in muscle accretion but rather for body growth (i.e. children growing, and also adults getting enlarged noses, hands, heads, etc...)

so no, not a waste. it will probably work better for reshaping your physique as insulin stops lipolysis - which is the way that hgh causes fat loss.

Has anyone here needed to add and extra refeed day in while adding gh in a pre contest stack?

Say maybe one on Wednesday one on Sat?

Yeah I was thinking that.  Felt flat enough as it was with just one refeed a week and no GH.  Going to have to keep carbs high and just pay close attention, with a few refeed days as well.  Maybe if condition is a little behind 4 weeks out drop down to one..

You doing the Nationals this year in Edmonton BLP?

Gotta a couple bros heading up there..

think I am doing provincials this year, havent really decided %100 yet, depends on flow for gh

flat when skin is loose it' a lack of fat intake , i like 200 pounds of stage = 200 gr fat a day , a refeed meal does th job ,
a refeed day will be keto mass type off season , while contest you might go backward

yes doin national august ,, for sake of experience,, i plan nail master pro card in 3 years
Your messed up BLP!

Totally agree. On gh, I didn't start cardio until 9 weeks out, ate double the carbs and refeed meals 2x per week.
