Too right. methzer looked awful here, more than usual. So much hype behind this guy yet he was a actually a pretty mediocre bodybuilder. Nothing special.There were and are way better bodybuilders than old meth head. John Little is the worst methzer worshipper around. Makes me wonder if their was more to their "friendship" given that methzer was found out to be gay later in life. Little must sleep in methzer's old posing trunks at night unwashed.

You're biased in your hate for Mentzer. He looked good but he got the placing he deserved and that was fifth.  All this gay stuff I'm not buying into.  Unless there is proof positive like an admission or film I'm not speculating what anyone does behind closed doors. That video you put up was a good analysis by that Australian bodybuilder. I wish Arnold appeared in his 73,74 or 75 condition. We wouldn't even be having this conversation about 1980.

Just compare 1980 to his years of greatness

It's supposed to be scored objectively but the reality is all bodybuilding contests are judged subjectively. There's no way to overcome implicit biases. It's how a smaller but more ripped guy wins one show and the justification is He was more ripped. But a bigger less ripped guy wins the next show and the justification is He was bigger..

Arnold thought about it, put it into perspective and moved on with his life. Its actuallya testamentto his drive, focus and mental strength that he could do that and not let his ego push him into competing in 81 to 'prove' his 80 victory wasn't a fluke.. All those other guys have been crying for the past 44 fucking years about it. With the exception of Dickerson.

Roger Walkers take on it seems honest. But Danny Padilla has always said Arnold was the winner. Some guys like Roy Callender and maybe Samir have said Arnold deserved it then years later say No it was a travesty. Platz was similarly wishy washy.

Zane is oddly hypocritical in his interviews his victories are always proof of how great he was. But all his losses are proof of how corrupt the judges are.
 
Arnold actually looked better the day after. He looked fuller and tighter, just as lean.

Zane was the most ripped he ever was but he was small. The Weider mags had him at 183 for the 1980 Olympia .He also likes to brag he beat Arnold in I think 1968 when he was new to the country.

Dickerson looked amazing. He was second for what, three years? I know most hate him because of his gayness but try to look at his pictures in 1980. Even Mentzer said he wouldn't have had a problem with Dickerson winning but Arnold he believes shouldn't have won.

Coe was probably at his best condition.  I know he was bigger for some contests but he looked his best in 1980. 

Mentzer wasn't as good as Arnold, Zane, Coe, Dickerson and even Callender.  Walker was thick but had so many flaws he didn't have the goods to come in the top five.

However. Put any picture of Arnold same 1980 but in the fall (October) next to Mentzer .....
and you get the termination of Mentzer .....
