Gossip & Opinions / Re: The Sad Story of Sunny & Skip
« Last post by Dave D on Today at 09:21:13 AM »
It was said that Skip was actually a decent wrestler with a lot of potential, but he couldn't focus on anything but cucking to Sunny and her whoring around.  He knew everything she was doing and still wanted to stay with her.

(Note : I haven't seen any of his matches, so I don't know if he did have talent or whatever.)

Candido was always a midcard guy. I think he was “short”for that era WWE  and never got out of the bodydonna’s gimmick. When he and sunny went to WCW in the late 90s  no one cared about him.

Training Logs and Info / Re: Oldtimer1
« Last post by oldtimer1 on Today at 09:18:12 AM »
I know these are training logs but what's your diet like and whats your diet plan for getting down 164?

When my diet is on point I use a free phone app call Lose it. It's an Orange icon. There are other apps that share the name so look for the Orange scale. It's simple to use. Eat a bowl of Cheerios just type it in and they give you the calories. Cook an egg in olive oil spray it's in there. For a few items I use a food scale. The app also remembers the favorites you eat putting them on the suggestions you can quickly tap to include.  Sounds complicated but I don't do complicated. It's simple.

They ask what your weight is now and what's your goal? Then will give you an allotted amount of calories for the day.  They will also tell you a good estimate on when you will achieve that goal if you stay with the plan. It's pretty strict. They will allot me something like 1800 calories which is nothing but it has a saving grace.  They track your exercise too.  If you put on a fit bit don't cheat and include being alive as exercise logged. Only logged dedicated exercise.

For example they give me something like 97 calories for two three minute rounds of hitting the heavy bag. When I go for a fast walk or a run they are pretty accurate with the calories used by distance, time and speed.  The only thing I believe they give too much calorie credit for is weight lifting. They ask you something like did you lift easy, moderate or heavy and how long the work out took you. Way to many calories given but I will take it. So when I go for a run they might give me 500-600 calories in a deficit. Then I go in my basement to hit the heavy bag for two rounds or so for another 97 calories to add to the 1800 calories given for the day but of course you don't have to eat the added calories that is allotted.  A lifting day they might give  400 calories which I think is too much for a stop and go activity.  The beauty of using the app for a couple of weeks is that you can almost accomplish the same without using it if the app puts you in the right eating patterns. I'm not on the app at the moment. In a few days I will be. When I use the app and it's a pain in the ass to log everything you eat but magic happens quick with it.  It really paints a picture of your eating habits when you review what you ate for the day.  Like I said I would like to be 164lbs.  I would be even better lighter but I have to live in reality of my age and health.

So yea, it doesn't really work, i mean none of them in in Hankys category looked like a complete bodybuilder, let alone classic.
they use weight classes in classic to try and keep it within a classic size as its really the only objective way to do it.

Classic is really about balance and proportions as opposed to weight

North Carolina man sentenced to six years in prison for attacking police with pole at Capitol

A man who became a fugitive after a federal jury convicted him of assaulting police officers during the U.S. Capitol riot was sentenced on Tuesday to six years in prison.

David Joseph Gietzen, 31, of Sanford, North Carolina, struck a police officer with a pole during a mob's Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol.

Gietzen told U.S. District Judge Carl Nichols that he didn't intend to hurt anybody that day. But he didn't express any regret or remorse for his actions on Jan. 6, when he joined a mob of Donald Trump supporters in interrupting the joint session of Congress for certifying President Joe Biden's 2020 electoral victory.

“I have to make it explicitly known that I believe I did the right thing,” he said before learning his sentence.

The judge said Gietzen made it clear during his trial testimony — and his sentencing hearing — that he clings to his baseless beliefs that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from Trump.

“Mr. Gietzen essentially was unapologetic today about his conduct,” Nichols said.

Last August, a jury convicted Gietzen of eight counts, including assault and civil disorder charges. After his trial conviction, Gietzen disregarded a court order to report to prison on Oct. 20, 2023, while awaiting sentencing. He missed several hearings for his case before he was arrested at his mother’s home in North Carolina on Dec. 12, 2023.

“This pattern of flouting rules and laws and doing what he wants, regardless of the consequences, is how Gietzen operates,” prosecutors wrote in a court filing.

..are MIA.

I thought "all hell will break loose" if he was indicted.  Then the same claim if he was at trial.   ???    Oh...   you can't expect your supporters to have money to travel to the courthouses after they have bought your tacky shoes, your silly hat, failing stock, wacky Bible, NFTs, Melania's jewelry, and sent money due to your grifting emails.

Trump looks for mass protests that still don’t exist
https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=Trump+looks+for+mass+protests+that+still+don%E2%80%99t+exist

A few days before the jury-selection process began in Donald Trump’s criminal trial in New York, the former president’s political operation sent out a message that appeared designed to generate some excitement — and some possible campaign contributions. The headline read, “72 hours until all hell breaks loose.”

Three days later, all hell did not break loose.
As the proceedings got underway, there was a “smattering“ of people who showed up to express their support for the Republican, but overall, the protest was a dud.

Of course, it was at least possible that the jury-selection process wasn’t a compelling hook for the suspected felon’s die-hard fans. Maybe this week, as the trial begins in earnest, Trump’s followers would show up in large numbers? The defendant certainly seemed eager to raise that possibility: In a message he published to his social media platform yesterday morning, the presumptive GOP nominee wrote, “GO OUT AND PEACEFULLY PROTEST. RALLY BEHIND MAGA. SAVE OUR COUNTRY!”

The New York Times reported that Trump was “evidently not happy” when few followed his directive, ignoring the fact that “he wanted a circus to accompany his trial.”

The article added that there were some Trump supporters gathered in the park across from the courthouse, but they were “outnumbered by Trump detractors.”

To the chagrin of the former president, this keeps happening.

Circling back to our recent coverage, as Trump’s post-defeat legal woes intensified, his rhetoric about his supporters taking to the streets grew louder. In January 2022, for example, amidst speculation about possible indictments, the Republican said at a rally that if he were to face charges, “I hope we are going to have in this country the biggest protests we have ever had.”

In September 2022, Trump delivered a related ominous message, saying that if he were indicted, the United States would face “problems ... the likes of which perhaps we’ve never seen.”

The vague predictions turned into directives last year. In March 2023, as the former president prepared for an indictment in New York, he turned to his social media platform, writing, “PROTEST, TAKE OUR NATION BACK!” In case that was too subtle, Trump added a few hours later, “IT’S TIME!!! ... WE JUST CAN’T ALLOW THIS ANYMORE. ... WE MUST SAVE AMERICA! PROTEST, PROTEST, PROTEST!!!”

Around the same time, the Republican derided talk of “peaceful” demonstrations, while suggesting that if he were indicted in New York, it might cause “potential death [and] destruction” that “could be catastrophic for our Country.”

Though it seemed as if Trump envisioned mass groups of red-capped followers taking to the streets, those calls were largely ignored. Some supporters turned out in Manhattan around the time of his first arrest, but the gatherings were, by any fair measure, underwhelming duds.

After his classified documents scandal led to his second indictment, the former president again called on his followers to rally behind him — Trump wrote, “SEE YOU IN MIAMI ON TUESDAY!!!” on his social media platform — but the numbers were again small.

Local law enforcement was prepared for crowds of up to 50,000 people. The actual crowd was closer to 500.

Two months later, at a Trump arraignment in Washington, D.C., a “handful” of his supporters showed up to register their dissatisfaction.

Yesterday, the turnout was, once again, largely a joke. So much for “PROTEST, PROTEST, PROTEST!!!”

As for why, exactly, these demonstrations have failed to materialize, there are plenty of competing explanations, starting with the fact that the Justice Department’s extensive prosecutions of Jan. 6 rioters have not gone unnoticed among the former president’s most ardent backers.

But I’m also reminded of an analysis my MSNBC colleague Zeeshan Aleem wrote last year.

“It may have to do with post-Jan. 6 wariness of getting in trouble if a pro-Trump protest spirals out of control,” Aleem wrote. “Perhaps conspiracy theories about the government laying traps for peaceful protesters scared them out of showing up. Maybe Trump finally has exhausted his base with his constant hysteria. ... Whatever the reasons may be, Trump is looking weak.”
