I like my coffee best with very little whole milk in it.
Usually I drink it black to avoid extra calories though (  ::) )

Espresso at saturday morning is somewhat a tradition for me.
I have machine at home  8)

Good man, I'm drinking some kind of strong AFRICAN coffee from this place near by that roasts their own beans.  Now I know what crack is like.

Caffeine boosts fat burning so mandatory for bodybuilders when cutting.

Caffeine boosts fat burning so mandatory for bodybuilders when cutting.

1. If you are natural, you must get stronger to get bigger. If, over time, you are not adding weight to the bar, you are not growing.

2. Training a bodypart less than 2X/week will not give you optimal gains. An upper/lower split done Mon/Tue/Thu/Fri is close to optimal for most. Full body twice a week can work very well. Once every 5th day is the least frequently I would ever recommend a natural train. You’ll get less sore training more frequently and you’ll grow better. Save once/week bodypart training for pro bodybuilders (read: steroid users) and the genetically elite.

3.When in doubt, do less volume, not more. You don’t need a zillion sets to stimulate hypertrophy, the bullshit written in the magazines to the contrary. If you can’t get it done in 4-8 hard sets (sometimes less, rarely more) you need to quit training like a pussy in the gym. I had a friend who sold supplements one time who kept asking me to design him a product that would really work. I told him to make a supplement that would make people work hard in the gym and watch their diets. He thought I was joking.

4. Generally, basic compound exercises are best but isolation stuff has its place. Same for the machines versus free weights ‘argument’: both have their place. Anybody who tell you that you MUST do a certain exercise is arguing from an emotional stance, not a physiological one.

5. If you think you can gain muscle without eating sufficient food or calories, you should quit bodybuilding and take up something easier, like golf. You can’t magically make muscle out of nothing, you need calories and protein to grow. If you can’t buckle down to eat enough on a consistent basis, you won’t grow an ounce of muscle. And spare me the excuses that you’re not hungry or your schedule won’t allow it. It’s about priorities, eat more or stay skinny.

6. Most hardgainers train like idiots and don’t eat enough.

I truly believe coffee is the most helpful natural bodybuilding "supplement".

I drink a ton of water during the day, I wonder if it's related to my coffee intake.

Wow, glad to see you back Marty. How is everything going with the wife and your MMA career? I know you and your wife had some bumpy times because you were going to the strip club too much. How did everything work out?

Hi Friend. my wife moved to be near her family. i am doing pretty good, i am staying active in my church.
i still write to my wife and we continue to pray for each other.

i dont go the strip club anymore. at first it was fun and all of the girls really liked me but i think it may have been more about the money.
none of the girls at the dance clubs pay any attention to me  :( but there are a few i talk to in my church but more as a friend and mentor.
i do miss my wife.

how do you like your coffee SF1900? it's not as good now as when my wife used to make it for me.
sometimes i go to starbucks and get a coffee there. they will even put a pump of syrup flavor into it if you ask them to. pretty neat

Hey Marty, thanks for writing back. Sometimes separation is the best thing, though it may hurt, it may be best in the end. Maybe some time apart is what you and your wife need. You know the old saying, "Absence makes the heart grow fonder." Its also good that you write to your wife and pray for each other. Keep those bonds as strong as possible.

Marty, I do not like clubs. I do not think its a good place to meet women. You do not seem like the type of guy who would enjoy dance clubs, so probably best to go elsewhere. Church is always a good place to meet women.

I actually like the white chocolate mocha from starbucks, though I am partial to the coffee at Dunkin Donuts. I highly recommend mcdonalds coffee. Best I ever had!

Marty, you should not leave GB for such an extended period of time, though I understand you had to find yourself. Getbig is a place that will offer you support. You have friends here, like Hulkotron and myself.

Your Friend,

Sf1900

I can't stand black coffee, I have mine with soy milk.  And extra Hot!  No sugar unless I order a mocha, then I will add one teaspoon of raw sugar.

I don't know much about Soy, but I don't feel comfortable consuming it based on stuff I've read that may or may not be true?

I buy Almond milk. (no homo)

Dairy bloats me and I like the nutty taste of soy milk.  I only drink it in my coffee though.  I might look for almond milk though, it sounds nice.

Dark roast warm or cold with a bit of powdered creamer, don`t really like it to be hot. I go through almost 2 pots of the stuff a day.  Coffee or water is pretty much all I ever drink.

'French press', to keep this thread bodybuilding related  ;)
Here in Europe we call it a cafetière. Combined with fresh ground beans, it's -IMO- the best way to get the maximum aroma intensity from your coffee.

There's too much wank associated with coffee anymore.  Leave the haggling over the finer points of flavor infusion to the tea drinkers and gimmie a damn cup of joe.

Pooped-out beans are best. For about $50/cup, try elephant (Black Ivory Coffee) or Asian Palm Civet (Kopi Luwak).

Of course, for about $1000 a bag, you can get coffee and a donkey show from Juan Valdez.
