Swimming pool ownership

Used to have one over 10 years ago but could be a pain - - old filter and equipment.

anyone have one now?  Do you think its worth the hassle.

It's absolutely not worth the hassle.  We have one, not because we wanted one, but because it came with the house. The stupid thing has to be maintained even though it never gets used.  I suppose if you have kids who like to swim you might view it differently, but I'd just as soon fill mine in.

a filled in pool is a great spot to hide a body.

I have one and yes, it's a pain in the balls with the chemicals and shit.

But I have a 7 year old so I'm in it a lot.

i would kill for one.  These hot california summers are brutal, and a pool would be awesome. I don't use public pools, they disgust me... what with all the kid urine and band-aids... ugh

in cases like that, Chlorine or bromine is your best friend.

Huge pain in the ass, go to the local public pool!
