Never said I couldn't remember the names of the schools I attended. I still don't remember the name of the guy I fought. I know the name of one serial killer there were others but that one is a close friend. I wrestled in college and the Army and after college as a 210lb heavyweight. I plan to wrestle in a tourney next summer with my son. Size is an attribute it is not the only attribute.

We could make it simple, same way Walter and I compare lifts.

Whatever I lift for weight, bhanky has to do twice as much for the same number of reps. He weighs 238 lbs and I weigh 134 lbs, so that seems fair.

Let’s start with squats, I’m at 225 x 7 full depth.

Or does bhanky want to try something else like running events ?

You could do a thousand reps you still would be nowhere near my strength are you daft? If you were more muscular and had more development than me I would admit it even if you were a smaller frame but you don't not even close. You are built like a long distance runner

The problem with that statement is WHAT the meal consists of.  What is the preprandal blood sugar levels?   Is that person active or sedentary?  Also, examine what the postpradal levels are at 0, 10, 30, and 60 mins to watch what happens with blood sugar.

Saying a blanket statement like "High carbohydrate meal" without any other factor (proteins and fats....pre workout, post workout, etc) is ignorant.

Surely you have had a sports massage over the years and had knots of collagen broken down by the masseur which allows a better range of movement?

The nucleus of the disc will come out in the non-enclosed herniation.  Things such as inflammatory cytokines, which are emitted from a disc that has been herniated, will affect a multitude of tissues near the disc.  In addition, the medial branch of dorsal rami that supply the facet joint are subject to inflammation faster than others.  No massage is going reduce those two things.  As such, things like ligament laxity, joint instability, and even nerve entrapment can be other sources of the pain.

No MRI is going to show you how much interleukin-1 is being emitted by a disc.  So, while an MRI may just show mild or mild to moderate reduction in disc height with mild facet arthrosis...there's more that goes into it.

Massaging or MFR is allegedly supposed to help with collagen turnover from type 2 or 3 back to healthy type 1.  Yes, I have had some massages...but to think that one visit will cause that turnover is not correct.  Most likely what is happening to increase the range of motion is the temperature of the soft tissues (tendons, ligaments) is elevated due to the friction, then the depolarizing of the pain fibers due to pressure, and even reduction in some swelling as lymphatics are stimulated.
