The WBF and the Affliction mma promotion both failed because they thought they could spend their way to success. I still remember the bodybuilders being shown on wwf programming.

Does that include the supplement line endorsement? I thought he was a spokesman for Vince's line of supps.

A man's got to know his limitations.

True but Vince has said before he is not afraid to lose as long as he wins in the long run and he certainly has done that.

Three million gallons of unsold ICOPRO buried behind Titan Tower
WWE's Stamford headquarters, commonly known as Titan Tower, is the site of a mass buriel of ICOPRO.
A geographic survey of Connecticut has revealed the existence of a landfill behind World Wrestling Entertainment’s Stamford headquarters filled with roughly 3 million gallons of unsold bodybuilding supplement ICOPRO.
The ICOPRO dump has been rumored for decades, but was widely presumed to be an urban legend, much like the alleged landfill of the commercially disastrous Atari E.T. video game.
But thanks to satellite imaging and soil samples, the massive repository for ICOPRO has been confirmed.
The ICOPRO (Integrated Conditioning Program) supplements enjoyed a brief period of popularity in the early 1990s, heavily promoted through Vince McMahon’s ill-fated World Bodybuilding Federation.
Despite the product’s slogan (“You’ve Gotta Want It!”), practically nobody actually wanted it, and the manufacturer was left with tons of unsold powders and pills, which were then dumped into a deep pit behind WWE headquarters — known colloquially as Titan Tower — and covered with topsoil.
Rumors of the landfill have been circulating ever since trees and shrubs on the property grew to massive proportions in a fraction of the usual time.

He got spanked by the federal government, not old Joe. Had the IFBB been put under the scrutiny that the WWF (and by proxy, the WBF) had to undergo......OH THE HUMANITY!!

Not to mention the $100,000 he got for each WBF championship he won.
Here's his winning routine in 1991.
And in 1992 (the sound's ahead of the video).

"i lost all respect for him when his wife found out he was prostituting himself out for gear. he was so distraught he contemplated or attempted suicide. beefy heavyweight knows the story. he posted it on get big a while back.. just shows you how fucked up some people are. "

I remember reading an article in Muscle Mag when Gary came on the scene in the 90's and he said that his chest grew far better from heavy flys than from bench presses. I was always a bench press guy, I was strong on bench, but my pecs were not as thick as I was hoping for. I was curious to see how my chest would respond by making heavy flys my main mass builder. I discovered that I was the same way, when I focused on heavy flys as my main mass builder, my chest improved significantly. And to this day, many years later, heavy flys are still my main mass builder. I have large triceps, and they just seem to take over when I do bench press, so isolating my chest with heavy flys was the key to my chest mass over the years. Got to thank Gary for that tip. Some people are 'pressers' and get huge chests with bench press. And some people are 'squeezers' and get huge chest with flys. I'm definitely as squeezer. (no homo)
