YUP, president and vice president both get informed of every single issue that comes up at every single embassy. no such thing as the state department and levels of bureaucracy. no such things as either of those two things. president always knows about everything everybody in the government wants.

theres no reason to assume hillary knew about the call for increased security either. the secretary of state doesnt answer phone calls from embassy's all day long. and every politican has someone in their office who goes through press material and files and information relevant to the politician, any issue the politician has an opinion on, and all political opponents. i know because i was in charge of doing it for congressman richard pombo R-california (chairman house resources committee) during the summer and fall of 06.

That's a ridiculous statement...almost as ridiculous as the White House attemting to deflect criticism onto the State Department. Americans don't like weasels...using "hey ..nobody told me" as an excuse when you're in charge is weasel 101.
And Romeny's tax plan wil work...if you get government out of the way of business to a degree that people are comfortable with investing the benefits of tax reform.

your right. the president, vice president, and secretary of state should be notified of every thing that happens at every embassy worldwide without exception.
...if a tax deduction is to cause a significant increase in economic output it then the level of tax before tthe deduction needs to be such that it significantly reduces output and the tax deduction itself will need to be significant as well. neither of those things are currently the case.. the tax rates are modest (lower than they have been in 60 years) and arent a big drain on the economy and romney's proposed deductions arent big enough to make any real difference anyways.
