I have a fear of death [thanatophobia] as well.  NOT because I'm afraid of nonexistence [even if I was afraid of nonexistence...it wouldn't bother me when I get there], but because I don't know that death is nonexistence.  And frankly, NO ONE knows.  I get so tired of atheists claiming to "know for a fact" that death is nonexistence, as if they can somehow measure that.  

Frankly, I would welcome death if it was simply nonexistence.  It is the possibility of being damned for eternity upon death that causes me fear - not the possibility of death being nothing.  I'm fine with that.

Nope, lol.  I overthink things, but it's mostly in writing, actually!  If not writing - it's literally thinking - the thought processes of my mind.  That can be good and bad...bad for obvious reasons, and good because I am extremely diligent about being mindful of personal choices.  I basically worry about every carbohydrate I eat as if I was a diabetic!  And I do that because I worry so much about everything, and fear for my health so much!

As for looking in the mirror...LOL...I considered myself to be a handsome man maybe ten years ago.  At this point, what is looking the mirror going to do for me aside from cause me depression?
