Man ...Ronnie's mid section looks pretty bad...and no I'm not talking about distention , just plain simple not sharp enough. + V- taper not as good as previous years. On the other hand Jay's back looks freakin ' wide :o

jay will never compete with ronnie whilst ronnie wants it. this is indisputable. jay has the size, but his waste correlates and, obviously, if he tries to go for more size his waste is only going to get bigger.

Ron is huge from the front but gyno obvious. Jay looks better from the back. Calves no contest.

Dexter has detail. Vic has detail. Jay's is no more detailed than Branch's back. Ronnie has lost his size and detail, but it is still superior to Jay's.

If you inspect the back photo you should he able to detect striations in Jays triceps. He is much harder and there is way more detail in his back. Ron should lose because he has no detail in his calves. I grant his quads are enormous. I think he came in too big and not as defined as he could/should have been. Neither of those two guys can pose very well which really is a surprize.

Are you talking about the pic above your post? I see Jay's back as having more detail and vascularity, maybe Ronnie hasn't fully contracted yet, I don't know. More dense too.

The best back has won the Olympia for since 1984. If this trend continues then Jay is the new Mr Olympia. He is much more muscular than the photos show. He is leaning back too much and the back is in shadows.

i just looked at all the pictures of jay and ronnie on flexonline and i think jay dominated ronnie. i think ronnie looks horrid. jays glutes are are close if not better than ronnies even. ronnie rear lat spread has never been this bad before. i cant believe ronnie is even better than vic in my opinion. oh well i know ron will win but man i think jay deserves it even more than 2001. even jays hammy hang is as good as ronnies. :o

Looking at all the pics of this prejudging, based on the whole package and conditioning---I think Mr. Cutler is going to stop a 9th Olympia victory. But we will have to see what happens tonight. Dexter is third, Victor is 4th..

Look at Jay's lower back, look at that those wrinkles, that should be muscle, not wrinkes. He doesn't have the lower back detail of Ronnie. Ronnie back is slipping. I guess since he doesn't have Flex or Shawn to compete against, both whom had very detailed back, Ronnie has let his back fall behind, and now others are catching up to his sub-standand (for Ronnie) back.

Jays midsection is like a block also.
Ronnie has won again, easily. As usual there are a few Jay fans who will be silent after a week of claiming he was robbed and the board will once again accept that Ronnie was the clear winner for another year.
Happens every year here. Same thing.

I don't think anything is clear cut at all. The only part lacking in Ron is his calves. I would never place a guy like that first. I don't care how big he is elsewhere. The gyno would also be reason enough to not consider him. Sure he is a giant. However, where is the beauty in his physique? Too bad Jay doesn't have Dexter's lines. Maybe Jay has so much muscle he doesn't know how to display it properly. He is making basic mistakes in the ab pose and other poses. He is clearly in better condition than Ron and we are all surprized about that. Who would have thought that Jay would beat Ron in the back pose? It happened today. When it is all said and done Jay has a superior body to Ron. However, if people like size over anything else then Ron is your man. I just consider he has an ugly body and it is about time bodybuilding returned to its roots and awarded overall appearance as well as size and condition.
The lineup this year is exceptional and no doubt the best Olympia ever. Where was Lee Priest?

Actually I went back and checked out the flex photos and I think Ronnies back sucks.
I also think Jays does too.
Jay is maybe in better condition but he shows so little detail from the front he can easily be owned by Ronnie. Look at the front double bi for what I mean..
They both have ugly bodies Vince and Lee was suspended remember.

This is how Jay should stand in the lineup. Just pull in his abdominals and tense his thighs. When he puts his arms out he loses his lines and becomes another idiot that lifts weights.

Zane stood like that and didn't look out of place. Bodybuilders are clearly not that smart and the way they stand relaxed is a joke. Everyone flaring out the arms. No wonder we are not respected as athletes. I consider that arms out stuff cheating. The IFBB has never enforced that rule and look at what happened? But the truth is most bodybuilders look like crap with arms out like that. They think they look bigger and wider but they look ridiculous. This is a case of the blind leading the blind.

Ronnie is definately showing his age, but he is still the best up there right now.
Its not like he is facing Shawn Ray, Flex Wheeler and Chris Cormier all over again...
His arms look as good as they have in a few years.
So, some parts have improved, others have not.

What do you mean when you say they can't pose well? They both have the ability to display their physiques to the maximum in the mandatories. I would have loved to see Arnold pose a rear double biceps. Somehow I don't think he would have pulled it off any better.
