Those of us lucky enuff to be around at that time in Venice and train right next to him on a daily basis will never forget those times. I remember when he arrived at Venice. Jaws dropping all around. And I don't mean while standing in shopping bags in a stall.

He was the first pro bodybuilder I saw up close in person, when I saw him at the TO convention center in 1994. He walked past me about 6 feet away in the hallway. He was in posing trunks and a t-shirt. As huge as his upper body is, what stood out the most was his calves. They looked the size of footballs.

If you look at when he does the hand clasp MM pose, he makes himself narrower because he brings his shoulders in. This shows with that pic of Nasser and Dillett and Dillett is doing the hand clasp pose. Ruhl modifies pose the with knuckles together and elbows out, thus flaring the elbows and shoulders out. This also shows in the Dillett and Ruhl pose.
Also, when Shawn Ray does this pose, it makes him narrower as well, because he brings his shoulders in, just like Dillett does.

I still think ray looked incredible in this pose right there with heath,kev,newman to name a few..

His posing is the worst of all time. He goes to hit a pose and half way through it he stops and looks like he forgot what pose he was doing then starts over again.
