Did Frank ever start posting on the animal forums? I remember how Frank and "Machine" never got on. They benefitted from the forum members buying the products and yet never did anything in return. Except standing around at the Arnold Classic looking angry.

Yes, Frank is still very active on the Animalpak forum. He has his on thread which he reads and answers questions. Machine does as well....

This was the first Flex mag i ever bought, had every one since until about 6 months or so ago. I cant stand the repetitive bullshit anymore.

I bought FLEX and MD on and off for about 2 years. Always felt a little embarrassed buying them.
The first one I had had Richard Jones on the cover.

Get your fact right dude. He tore his triceps before the car accident with 200pounds skullcrusher.

Shitty looking cover.
Once again, I must agree because the truth is always...Well, the truth.
Is that a condom on this assclowns dome? No one, supercalifragelisticabso fuckinglutely no one I personally know thinks a "physique" of this type is attractive or even useful.
Now Steve Reeves, Clancy Ross, Reg Park, Bob Paris, Frank Zane, Steve Davis and to a lesser degree, the Oak (he was the rare exception as he is ARNOLD), physiques of this calibre are considered far more aesthetic to people.
By people I mean the general populace. Those that account for 99.999999999999999999999 999999999999999999999999 9999999999999 % of the world's population. ;D

He did tear his tricep before the car accident, yes, it was fixed-healed. But in 2010 Frank was involved in a car accident. An oncoming vehicle jumped the median and hit Frank’s car head on. Frank lost his spleen, suffered a collapsed lung, lost three litres of blood and had the skin torn from his previously injured triceps.

Loving the use of the beanie hat to disguise the dramatically receding hairline

Always enjoy the magazines even in the internet age, but usually when I am on the road. Especially like this issue since there is a page of my pictures in it from the IFBB Sacramento and IFBB Border States.
Pretty cool.

Subscription to Flex and Muscle & Fitness is so cheap anymore. I get Flex mag for $9 annually including shipping. Honestly that's even a bit overpriced for them. All those magazines look the same anymore.

I remember looking at that mag in Rite Aid, and these guys and girls went by and said he looked like a roided out nerd, like a George Castanza...

Tyrannosaurus Pecs would be a good Getbig username.

Tyrannosaurus Pecs would be a good Getbig username.
Pecosaurus: pronounciation, pec-o-saur-us, noun, A dinosaur of the early Insulin Period, of the therapods---dinosaurs who walked upright on their hind legs. They have massively well developed pectoral muscles---of which usage is still being studied...it has been debated that thet branched off of species which spawned the current day modern bird.

I agree with you there, but damn your living in the past. You must be older than dirt.

I was about to register that actually, but it's a bit too long with a space and all

Lol claims he was still 210 after laying in a bed for 4 months ::) but could hardly curl 20lb dumbbells at that weight ::)

It took you 13 years to figure out it was repetitive bullshit?

It was more of a habit thing, i liked some of the contest coverage and skipped pretty much everything else

:D

Sucks that frank lost both of his triceps, but I give him respect to show up at the olympia this year and not fill his arms with synthol like cutler and other bodybuilders
-
Allan Donnelly leaves FLEX magazine with it's worst cover in decades. I imagine this is like a proverbial check to the nut sack of AMI/Weider. A big FUCK YOU. McGrath is handsome and has tremendous arms, but this is the worst picture of him, ever. Torn tri, no face, doo-rag headband thingy. I would be interested in seeing the #s for this atrocity.
Hey Ron- This is my vote for worst cover of the year/decade.
AD- Well played, sir.
-
14:15 that tricep is really torn up. the other one seems fine though. dude had some bad luck.
