When I was in my final year of my Honours B.Sc. in biology (minor in philosophy) I could not wait to get out into the real world.
I swore I would never go back....
1 year later I was at a post grad program at a local college picking up a post grad certificate to complement my degree..
then, I landed a great job thanks to the college diploma on top of the degree.
Employers LOVED that combination. And, it was easy. University was very tough, but college was baby food in comparison (here in Canada, college work is not like colleges in the states. Here colleges are easy, and University is a big challenge)
Now, I am doing night school classes working towards a business certificate...I work in wastewater treatment, but in order to climb up to upper management, a good knowledge of basic business fundamentals is going to be necessary. Being in science, all I took was lots of math and sciences throughout my academic career. I regret not taking business courses, so I signed up.
Education never hurts. It pays off in the end.
Learning is cool.
You will find in today's ever changing job market, the more 'peices of paper' you have will help you greatly when it comes time to climb the ranks.
It looks great on your resume, and you often easily meet the educational requirments set out for management positions down the road.
Putting letters after your name is always an advantage.
Stick with it.
