It's all show with zero substance (apart from an admittedly nice screen). Its specs are appalling for the money. There is no justification for it as anything other than a fashion accessory. Sony and the Toshiba portege are much better options, or even a cheap and cheerful netbook.. imo.

most of the mac users have the whole family (lap, iphone, ipods, etc) of stuff.  cant see myself converting for $4000 or so.  get the same mileage out of my desk/lap/scandisk/blackberrystuff for less money.

"Air" specs are absolute garbage for the price. Useless. And it's too big to be considered ultra portable despite the light weight.

I would not buy it. Both the Macbook and Macbook Pro represent a better value.  The MB Air is, what I call, a vanity product.

No, but I recently got a Macbook and it has yet to get a virus or slow doen even a bit. It's a no brainer as far as ever buying a computer again.

How is a vaio any better than mac? I would love to read solid points of view..... vaio is  like kamali, always placing 7th-10th.

This is probably the only place on earth with people that think overpriced crap vaios are good.
