Title: How the hell do I post a avatar pic?

find a pic online

right click and select copy image location

past that into your profile avatar box

done

save

My problem is using a photo of my own.

When I go to my profile and bring up 'use my own pic' it says specify your avatar by URL.  I put my pic in and nothing?

Post your avatar in "random pics" thread.  Right click it and then click "Properties".  Then copy the url and paste.

I've tried for years and never understood,  
but I'll now follow these simples instructions, wish me luck.  I'm going to try to do it tooo

  I know how to add pix to my posts, but have found it impossible to do an avatar.  
But I've just bought a fab new iMac so wish me luck

"random photos" thread.  Right click it and then click "Properties".






there's none of that on my 'puter

Yes there is, I misnamed it.

and "properties" is named something else on Apple products.
There definately is a way to find a posted photo's url on a Mac.

I am pretty sure your "puter" works just fine. Seems more like operator error to me.
