A must read

"A New World"
by Eckhart Tolle

Really dives into the Ego...

Cool, I just started with "The power of now" great stuff and will move onto "A New World" afterwards.
Letting go of the ego for good is tough.

Some of the books that have most influenced me include "As A Man Thinketh" by James Allen, "1984" by George Orwell, "The Pilgrim's Progress" by John Bunyan, "Cheerleaders of Hump City High" by Tits McGee, and "Quo Vadis" by Henryk Sienkiewicz.

I found a bookshop with heaps and heaps of PG Wodehouse, so I'm a one dimensional reader these days but I'm happy.

good stuff...I believe that you don't ever lose the ego but recognize it and be able to manipulate it...And not the other way around...I'm at least 2 more lifetimes away from such a feat :D

Agreed, ego is not really meant to be lost I don't think, more to be understood for what it is and respected when necessary.

yes i truly believe that anyone who tries to fight against the negative energy in the world is fighting a losing battle...We all need the negative with the positive...The key is understanding what is the negative and bringing it in and filtering it out as quick as possible...Its only when you start to fck with it, it will end up pwning you...

i'm reading a great black comedy called 'the koran'.

its about this paedo, who after being beaten up by his wife, takes a huff, and decides to live with a goat on a mountain. one day he thinks up a greart idea to pretend he is gods messenger, and the locals are so dumb they believe him.

one way he gets them on side it to tell them god wants them to beat their women, and treat them like meat. They can also have 4 wives and rape any woman they like.

one day he fvcks a 9 year old, and steals his sons wife, along with wage wars, and a few other things.

great work of fiction.
Sounds like Semanteases life story  :-\

Muscle by Jon Hotten is great

Not that it  reveals anything we don't know, its just interesting to see how an outsider sees bodybuilding during a process of unveiling it's dirty and dark secrets.

Johnny Truant might be a cool screen name. What about Only Revolutions? Haven't heard many positive reviews.

I really need to get this everytime I go to the book store I forget about it. I read mostly self help books, not like dr phil or shit like that. I am in sales so I read alot of books on the psycology of selling and buying motivations. I would really like to read dawkins stuff though.
