The part allegedly mentioning the "Holocaust" is misleading at best. What you see here is the principal V-2 rocket testing site at the Peenemünde Army Research Center located in the North of Germany (
Heeresversuchsanstalt Peenemünde ). The testing site was called Test stand VII (
Prüfstand VII, P-7 )
Lead guitar Richard Kruspe is seen wearing a SS uniform with the rank of Major (
SS-Sturmbannführer ). This choice of rank is not a coincidence as it directly references Wernher Von Braun, who was the technical director of the facility.
( Von Braun later appeared in several Walt Disney productions, explaining rocket science to kids and was also the mastermind behind project Saturn V, but who cares about that, right ?)
Then you see four members of the band in striped uniforms at the Penemünde facility labor camp ( notice the V-2 rockets behind.) Each one of them is wearing a distinctive cloth emblem
from left to right, they are respectively wearing :
• Inverted pink triangle : gay (
Homosexueller )
• Yellow star : jew (
Jude )
• Inverted red triangle over a yellow one : jewish political “protective custody” prisoner (
Jüdisher Politisher Schutzhäftling )
• The last one looks like a purple triangle which means the prisonner is a Jehovah’s witness (
Bibelforscher )
Till Lindemann ( one of the prisoners ) ends up shooting ze evil dzherman Offizier
The symbolic representation of Germania ( the black woman ) can also be seen wearing a SS uniform. Her rank is hard to identify, but I think she could be an SS-Oberführer ( Brigadier General ) or possibly SS-Brigadeführer ( Major General )
I dont understand what's all the fuss about this clip, seriously.
