minors yes, kids get terminal illnesses that cause them to suffer for the entirety of their short lives too
So they get to make the choice to end their suffering or is it a parents/guardian decision or is it the doctors call?
Where is the line drawn?
I watched my mother waste away from cancer (and treatment) and at the end I wished she “accidentally” overdosed on pain meds instead of suffering until her last breath.
I took her to get her pic line installed and they weighed her and she was 74 pounds, literally skin and bones. She didn’t make it 4 days after that but I wished for her sake she would have checked out much sooner.
I say this as a person of faith who believes in the afterlife, I am definitely sympathetic to allowing people to be put out of their misery. I wouldn’t wish such a horrible fate on parents and their children that they would have to make a choice to terminate their young life. It’s definitely an awful dilemma.
