There are very few mass monsters out there that are threats.
Jay
Ronnie (stick a fork in him)
Tony Freeman, not really a mass monster cause he's 6'3 at 280
Gunter (never really a threat)
How does this change the face of bodybuilding? Will there be a new era of smaller champs in shows? Are the days of guts gone? This says alot...
Jay is a class act and I am thrilled he won the Olympia. Combine that with Freemans recent win in Montreal along with Darrem Charles at the recent Atlantic City and Dexter at the ASC and I am pumped.
The best overall PHYSIQUE is what appears to be winning now, as it SHOULD be.
While big miscles are the hallmark of any bodybuilder, it is not the whole deal.
A true bodybuilding champ needs to have the complete package. Ronnie simply came in too big and lost the overall look one needs , to display an incredible PHYSIQUE. Sure Ronnie was a great champ, but last night he was a guy with big muscles, NOT the guy with the best physique.
