It's not "proving" anything.  Some people enjoy going fast.  They know the risks involved, end of story.
You'd have far fewer accidents if you had stricter driving tests...period.  The government doesn't give a shit about safety and speed limits are only there to increase revenue.
The best is when someone tells me they dumped their bike because they were drunk.   I've done plenty of dumb shit in my time, but never stoned or drunk on a bike.

Never had a prob with mine.  But you do need a timing retard eliminator to get them to perform like the Euro spec bikes. 169hp at the rear wheel.  Honda's putting out a strong bike.  I've ridden them all, but I like the fit and finish of the honda.  If you want a rocket get the GSXR, huge after market.  If you want a bike that rips off the showroom floor and don't care what it looks like the 08-09 zx10r is a beast.  It's scary fast.

Ya, it had just a tad more, but I just wanted to break my old record of 155, which was on a '99 CBR900rr.   That was a sick bike!  Also ya'll, jdooly profession....yep, motorcycle mechanic.

How big are you guys? My friends are all around 220-260, and the 1000's still fly them around. I'm smaller 5'10 between 190-200 and find them a little heavy sometimes?
