true,,,wheeler and kev started smaller if thats possible and shredded for there 1st mro's and yeah 97 kev and 96 he was at his biggest 'shaved 'head yrs and wheeler got bigger 96-99 with his look ,,,that would have been interesting top 4,,kev had legs too in his early yrs like kai and heath maybe not crazy like kai's but he good wheels,,,

Yep! This rivalry they have is making them both better (not bigger, but better), and is possibly the best thing that could have happened to bodybuilding. Throw in the emergent and aesthetic Shawn Rhoden, and you've got to be big, shredded and well shaped or forget top 3, or with Dexter resurgent for now, top 4.

the problem is the guys from the 90s had the conditioning...then they lost the conditioning for size as the 90s went on. Now we have athletes with extreme size and extreme conditioning something only perfected by Ronnie and Dorian. Add two the the list cause 5'9 Heath at 246 lbs looks insane. Like stone. And Kai at 5'8 256lbs is fucking sick. This is what Flex, Levrone, Ray and Cormier was supposed to be. Heath and Kai are that.

I agree completely. However, I feel that Dorian 1993 Mr. Olympia should be behind RC...pick a year ;D. Barring that, Kai and Phil shit over all other bodybuilders ever including Dorian 1992/1994/1997 and Ronnie 2004. Phil has the best muscle belly tie ins ever. If he were as wide as Ronnie, there wouldn't even be a question of who is the best of all time.

watching the night show, kai was smooth and flat..he looked better when he won the ny show last year...triceps and quads were more striated, bigger, harder and even the color was better

The only time wheeler showed up to anything close to the condition of Ronnie, Dorian, Phik or Kai was in 93 at 216 lbs at 5 10 and 98 arnold classic at 232. Even then, Phil and Kai have advanced it to a new level.

Cormier deserved to the win the Arnold on at least 2 occasions and should have won the '99 Olympia. I think his reputation hindered him- sort of like Kai actually

2001 or 2009 Cutler would more than likey beat ether of those 2 too Massive, conditioned etc, doesnt matter anymore he wont get back to that sort of shape again Cutlers best move would be to stay exactly where he is right now and be content with 4 MR Olympias his best is done.

Cormier put it all together at 2 of the ASC's- can't remember which exact years- he should have beat Cutler and Dex on another occasion. He had no flaws at all in the '99 Mr O- basically perfect physique

if u really actually compare the guys this pic of jay this year he would have beat phil in 12 but not in 11 phil was the alltime best in 11....these guys from the 90s would be crushed,,, people just get used to bigger n harder guys then if u compare the 90s guys its no comparison imo

don't let my posts fool you. I'm a huge Dorian fan and I actually prefer his 92 pre-contest look over any version of Ronnie from a non-judging perspective. And 216 pounds, no bulging obliques, or gut...not the biggest arms, but very separated and detailed

as much as I like Kevin's, Shawn's and Flex's physique in their prime, they would lose to the 12 Mr. O versions of Phil and Kai. The latter two men are just too big and conditioned for the older crop of bodybuilders.

Im not so sure there as in their Superior size would be a advantage, Kai and phil have Poses where they look outstanding and others woeful in Comparison to that Group just mentioned, Kai or Phil cannot Match a Prime Ray or Levrone in the Ab/thigh Both Kai and Phil have Trouble controlling their Mid sections carrying all that extra Muscle and Both those 2 get their Posing routines outs of a weeties box compared to the other 3 who actually could Control their Transitions holding their Stomachs in etc, Flex's back @ his best Comparable to ether of them, Rays BDB @ his Best is as Conditioned as ether of those 2 in 2012, Rays MM is nearly as Complete as it got Balance wise etc etc, Ray Never had Trouble beating Guys 50-60lbs Bigger nether did flex with Yates the exception, id see no reason why with the now Superior advances in Drugs etc they wouldn't have the same Results against ether Phil or Kai in 2012....both of those 2 are Great and in Certain Pose's Exceptional... but those 2 are not exactly a Prime Coleman or Yates Ray, flex, etc had to contend with in the 90s

Yip Kai looks Outstanding in that shot, thing is with Him is hes Inconsistent one year he looks Incredible....the next not so....he looked Great @ the 2012 Olympia however if you Compare say his ab/thigh, MM, etc to the year 09 or 10 he looked Bigger with outrageous Condition, if he ever Nails his Conditioning and size as one..... :o :o :o :o :o im not 100% sure if this mm was from 2010 or 11, whatever the case he looked alot fuller here with Crazy Condition too boot compared to 2012
