You only need about half that amount. Once before the workout, and once afterward. The creatine "loading" theory is 100% BS.

Make sure you have a plan for coming off the creatine. I find this is where most guys make their biggest mistake. They dive right it, full 5 gram doses, but they don't have a plan for coming off. You need to taper bro. I like to do 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, .5 grams, spread out in 2 week intervals. Anything less, and the muscle loss can be devastating. :D

As part of our wellness policy my company has us undergo yearly physicals. Prior to the testing the physician asks if you're taking any prescription or recreational drugs, if you're honest they'll go to bat for you as long as it doesn't effect your performance, however if you decline to include your usage you'll be out of work. I'm drug free so no worries on my end.
3 months ago the results came in and I got popped for German grade creatine! My brand was supposed to be Chinese grade and I was mega dosing 10 grams at wake up and 5 grams midday, and I'm out of a job and I'm involved in 4 legal cases because of this.
These supplement companies are out of control, had I known I was using German pharmaceutical grade creatine I'd never used anywhere close to 15 grams a day, the label made it clear it was from China so I assumed the creatine was cut with some sort of filler. No wonder everyone thinks I'm juicing.

the border is easy be careful at the check points down the road. i came through progresso and metamoriss in tx, the borders were no sweat. but i got busted with creatine-mono two hours north at falfurious. they ripped my car apart. just a word to the wise.

I told him Bro, do not ask someone to name a creatine pharmacy on an open board. Contrary to what a lot of ignorant people think - SELLING CREATINE IN MEXICO IS NOT COMPLETELY LEGAL!!! It is a gray area and many of the shopkeepers are terrified of federales finding out about their "under the counter" deals.
Yes, some pharmacias sell creatine very openly, but they are usually "protected" shops. The will lose that protection if too much attention is brought to them.
This is why companies switched to vet products. The human pharmaceutical laws and the veterinary laws are very different.
