Robin Williams whole hyper-active persona was the only way he knew how to deal with life. He woke up and realized that he led his life as something people expected, the funnyman and not what he really wanted to be. He knew he could not get 63 years back, but he also knew he could put a stop to it. And so he did.

I think acting probably prolonged his life. However, if he was just some schmuck mopping floors, he probably would have lived an entire normal lifespan.

Anyone who knows anything about bi-polar/manic depressive will tell you that Robin Williams-Jim Carrey-Mel Gibson are cut from the same clothe. Many manic's end up with chronic depression. Booze is usually their drug of choice. There is no doubt that Robin Williams just got tired. Tired of his fast paced talking and tired of trying to keep up the front or sham of what was truly going on inside him.

Truth. If I only had a good wife, If i only stopped drinking, if I could only pay the bills, if I was a better parent, if I was a better son. It never stops. Constant pressure on your soul. Too much for some.

Why is this one extra personal to you? I have seen others say this about Robin Williams. While I like his acting, I just never felt that he connected on that kind of level.

R.I.P. Robin. You will be missed. I can honestly say I really liked that guy and usually dont give a fuck about celebrities. He was different.
