The rubberized dumbells in the aerobic room box only go up to 7.5 lbs. I'll ask the manager for 10's... once I'm comfortable with the 7.5's.

The thread was inspired by your thread on the guy pressing the 90s.   The monster comment was a joke.   >:(

Basal...

You training legs yet?  Because you can post all the torso pics and pressing stats in the world, but until you unveil the wheels, you're an upperbodybuilder.

Also, you coming down to Florida to see Mike and Freak compete?

240 or Numbnuts, I've been training legs since getting off crutches after surgery.  I just don't squat anymore because  I don't want to risk injury.   My legs have never been very good however and I can't always train them very heavy because of my knee.  I do leg presses on the cybex machine with up to 8 plates a side.

Upperbuilder? You'd give your left nut to look half as good as he does.  ::)

trying to get them to do the Gulfcoast Championship in mid-august in Lee County.

240 tell me more about the gulfcoast championship. Is it a big show, little show or what? Is it a national qualifier?

I wish I had more details.  It's been held in N Ft Myers the last 2 years.  Vic Martinez was this year's pro, and Darrem was the year before (when the hurricane hit town and they had to hold the event outside = no electricity!)

They held it at N. Ft. Myers High School.  Packed high school auditorium.  Very professionally run.  A few pros in attendance, little expo outside.   Lots of older NPC guys I can't name lol.  I dunno if it's a national qualifier or not.  They didn't promote it very well, but the day of the show it was packed, so BBing must have a pretty decent following in SW Florida.   The winners looked good... the 50+ age group guy was named Paul something, and he looked like a smaller Melvin Anthony.  They had kids, mens, 40+ and 50+ i think? Plus fitness competitors. A few top NPC competitors spoke, a female pro guest posed, a top amateur FBB posed.  It was fun.

I'm 171lbs, so I'm happy with pressing 180lbs for 4 reps.  I've done 6 reps at a heavier body weight.

don't let the meatheads around here bother you

pressing the 90's over your head for reps makes you much stronger than the average person

Bally's dumbells only go up to 75 lbs so you can say you are stronger than anybody that trains at Bally's :D
