I wasn't there for the show but I could live with your observations.  Any of those three gentlemen would look great.  Padilla was also robbed and is my choice for another man deprived of the title of Mr. Olympia by the knee-walking turkeys (aka: cock gobblers) that judged that show those years.

Casey had a great physique. Thick, dense muscle with some of the best forearms ever. His only glaring weakness was structural. He was narrow and blocky with very little taper, like Larry Scott. Still great though.

The 1982 Olympia was a very interesting show. Some say the weakest lineup ever. Not to me though. Just that nobody really came across as a standout. Looking back it it now...I gotta say that Samir got overlooked and should have won. Also...considering that Dickerson won...hell...I think Boyer Coe could have done some damage had he not started his prep so late for the show. He was way smaller and supposedly trained only 6 weeks for this show after being off anabolics for near 2 years while taping the 1982 Deland, Florida Nautilus videos for Arthur Jones with Mike and Ray Mentzer.

For the record, I think Boyer is very honest and he's one of the best interviews I've conducted. He has great stories and he's very open and honest in his answers. He talks about taking growth hormone later in the interview when he competed in the Masters Mr. Olympia in 1994.
