This is just the bail hearing , the main trail is still to come, things work a bit different here...

But these charges (7 of attemted murder) against the main investigating officer are relevant because it speaks to his credibility.They are saying he contaminated evidence too, by not wearing protective footwear on the crime scene..

State case against bail relies on two witness statements & Botha. If magistrate finds him unreliable…

However, the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) is confident that they still have a strong case against Pistorius.

Do you think they try people according to US rules of evidence and lab results in South Africa? He will buy his way out and liberals in the US will use excuses like the cops didn't where booties like I see on my favorite fictional tv show. How was crime even solved 50 years ago? He is guilty.

It's the same for a rich or well-connected anyone. Especially the 'government'.

Police dockets (all still hand-written and kept in files) have a convenient habit of 'disappearing' every now and then which tends to destroy any chances of a prosecution.

Exactly! hears a noise then goes to get his 9mm from under his pillow, right next to her...why didn't he at least reach across and wake her up, even if it was pitch dark (he assumed she was still in the bed)...surely he'd let her know that he thinks there's someone in the house? instead he grabs the gun hobbles down the passage, screaming and off loads his gun throught the closed door?? What a fucking idiot!
