KK post a pic of bruno and it makes me comment about how he has the most insane pair of cauliflower ears.
It shocked me cuz for a guy who was put over alot and was a "Power" wrestler you wouldn't think he was grappling much
Then again, it shows you how times have changed

Gory, Eddies dad Saved my old mans life one night in El Paso. He was leaving the ring and a fan was coming after him from behind with a knife. My dad did not see the guy a Gory tackled him.

Yes he was . The whole family is nice. Very talented too.
-
i used to like to watch kerry von erich, flyin brian,bo bo brazil, bruno, the superstar billy graham, ivan putski, its a shame that kerry and brian died at such a young age, entertainment wrestling is very profitable for alot of guys but sometimes it cost them thier lives.them painkillers are a bitch to get off once you feel how good they work, but its at a price
-
Ricky The Dragon looks good for his age

Haha, monster chinese whispers. How did drug overdose become violent scissor-stabbing? Amazing.

You would be wrong, young un. :) I remember when Roop was terrorizing the Georgia territory.

Taking bumps 6 nights a week, travelling 322 days of the year, all the wear & tear, alchohol, rec drugs, pain killer abuse all takes its toll. But bare in mind that we ALL get old and you can't turn back the clock. Some of the guys pictured on here are in their sixties for God sake.

Macho Man looks like Santa Claus
-
Good thread.
-
When Macho Man came back to WCW and joined the nWo after his "injury" that dude was jacked like no other. Best shape of his life.
Would love to see before and after of Steiner.
Flair held up the best with age. Arn Anderson as well. Paul Roma still has some decent size on him. Fantastic genetics for getting huge.
-
cool thread karl, wrestling today pales in comparision ten fold to the 70/80's era,i loved it as a kid ,bruno sammartino looks good around 70 no?he wore toupee then anyway, bill graham was awesome then from bber to martial arts angle when he fought backlund, snuka and putski had great builds then and when u watch old msg footage they had lights down and u could see how put together those 2 were ,putski was a beast ,thick as hell .snuka was striated and vascular .hogan never impressed me other than being a tremendous crowd draw and able to work crowd into frenzy.magnificent muraco, pedro morales ,you really believed as a kid they hated each other.today stories, and out of the open story lines to the land of make believe.

I used to see Don Muraco alot back in the 90's. Look quite a bit different and alot smaller. Lord Blears and Lars Anderson both lived on Oahu. Not really sure about Lars but I saw him quite a bit so I figured he did. He was helping Dwayne Johnson's mom promote there.

Bobby heenan , Gorilla Monsoon and Jesse 'The Body' Ventura were the best announcers in WWF history.... Heenan would come up with the funniest stuff, Gorilla would be the voice of morality and Jesse was the scumbag cheater ( Dino Bravo bench press) ..when i see them replay some of the old stuff, as a kid alot of the jokes went over my head, Heenan esp was comic gold.

I totally agree. JR, King, Tazz, and Michael Cole are terrible. They can never compare to The Brain, Gorilla or Jesse. I watch wrestling with the volume turned down because the announcing is so bad. Heenan is the best Heel in Federation history!!!

I'm much more of an old school NWA fan. Nothing like the mid-atlantic and Georgia promotions in the late 70's thru the 80's.

and a note on Backlund, I just saw him on the Sheik roast dvd (available at kayfabecommentaries.com) and I swear that he has a certain movie star look to him. He (along with Martel) turned out to be two handsome mature men which is a shock in the wrestling biz

greatest Flair promo of all time IMO

RE: bob roop,
is he the guy who popularized the "sugar hold" in the US?
I know that Stu was using it as his pet hold when he streched guys in the dungeon but I heard that Roop was using it in Florida
-

-
I loved Savage, he was an awesome worker. The promos were a little out there though haha
-
Flair is maybe the best of all time in my book.
My old man said the match with him and Shawn was one of the best matches he has ever seen. That is a very big complement cause my dad does not give anyone props.

Flair's best match was at Starcade 83. I think he faced Ricky The Steamboat Dragon if I'm not mistaken. He also had an amazing steal cage match versus Don Muraco. Man was there all kinds of blood shed. Wrestling was wrestling until about 1989. After that, it went downhill. It was still watchable until about 2000, but it lost its magic by then.

I know "old timers" always use the phrase "I was about to put the "Sugar" on him" in reference to when they were shooting
I emailed josh barnett and asked him if he knew what the sugar hold was and he totally kayfabed me.
I'm sure your dad knows the hold
It is like a saddle mounted quarter nelson strech

Macho Man, right there: My favourite. Does anyone else remember the Wrestling cards that came in the Hostess chips bags way back when? Took our house all Summer to get the whole series. We couldn't give/trade away Koko B Ware cards to anyone, and we must of smoked ate our way though a ton of chips to get the final Kamala card. We had them all placed with pride on our fridge door. ;D

His shit with Funk was great too. Flair probably is the best of all time simply because of all the guys he carried to great matches in every territory. These weren't 10 minute matches either usually closer to 45-60 minutes.

Starcade 83 was Flair vs. Race. "A Flair for the Gold." Gene Kiniski was the special ref.
Here is a decent vid of it...with Solie calling the action.

NO QUESTION. Nobody else is even close. He could get me interested in Ron Rossie vs. Buzz Sawyer. haha

I was born and raised in the Northeast and I even know that Gordon Solie was the greatest announcer of all time
I do, however, that Mauro Ranallo is very gordon solie- like . I know that will get alot of heat but Mauro is the best announcer in pro wrestling, which is ironic since he doesnt have a steady pro wrestling announcing gig. He does, however, do all the wrestling announcing on the Fight Network

Can't agree. Flair has had the best career. But there is absolutely no doubt Shawn Michaels is the greatest wrestler ever! This guy brings it every single match for twenty some years. He and the Undertaker are destined to fued again. If anyone is worthy of beating the Undertaker at Wrestlemania it's HBK.
-
I've never heard him, but he has to be better than JR. I'll take your word for it.
JR is still good but the fact that he is "The office guy" kinda sorta kills his credibility with me
JR pushes the guys he wants to push no matter what the program is--ask bart gunn
-
damn macho man looks fuckin horrible.
Horrible? He's close to 60 years old now. He's simply letting his hair grow out naturally without coloring it.

Put Shawn in the ring with any wrestler and Shawn always makes them shine. I've been watching wrestling for thirty years and Shawn Michaels is the best. Flairs my all time favorite by far. But for wrestling skill Michaels is all around the best wrestling that has ever lived. Why do you think Flair let him win the retirement match.

As for Michaels vs Flair. I've also been watching for close to 30 years, damn I'm getting old, and Flair is still the best. The running joke was that Flair could put a broom over. Michaels is much the same, but I think Flair was better on the mic (nobody is close). Like I said, just ask Michaels.

The other thing is, Flair wrestled guys in little territories in Buttfuck, Mississippi and made their guy look like a million bucks.

I don't care if he is 9,000 years old, I'll bet he can legitimately kick ass...even if he doesn't have "ground skills"

I bet no one knows who Bob Roop is
I never saw him wrestle, but I remember reading some wrestling magazine when I was a kid and I saw where he had beaten Kevin Sullivan (the pre-Satanic, "patriotic" Sullivan) with a "foreign object" but denied having used one. I don't know why that article sticks out in my mind like it does.

Got any recent ones of Bad News Brown?
He died a few years ago in Calgary, Canada and was working as a security guard at the time.

Gory, Eddies dad Saved my old mans life one night in El Paso. He was leaving the ring and a fan was coming after him from behind with a knife. My dad did not see the guy a Gory tackled him.
My wife is from El Paso (Juarez originally) and she used to go to the matches with her brother all the time. Used to watch Mando, Blue Demon, Mil Mascaras, etc.

I'm much more of an old school NWA fan. Nothing like the mid-atlantic and Georgia promotions in the late 70's thru the 80's.
Amen...I grew up in Roanoke,VA (same hometown as Tony White aka Tony Atlas)...loved Mid-Atlantic Wrestling and was in heaven when we got cable and I was exposed to Ga Championship Wrestling w/ Gordon Solie...I still call the suplex "Su-play" in honor of how Gordon pronounced it.

Yeah thats why HBK totally smoked him in the Ironman Match. One of the greatest entrances ever. Then the kick heard round the world to end the match. Hitman is top five greatest ever though in my book.
-
Shawn Michaels is one of the few wrestlers I have seen be a ass hole in the locker room to some kids the other is Kevin Nash
Thats the thing about HBK. His whole career you can tell he's a jerk off. The guy is just so great in the ring you cannot not like him. He's terrible on the mic. Now with this whole God thing? Either way P4P he's the best wrestler to ever put on a pair of tights. Every match he's in he's 150%. Sweet Chin Music.

Cyclone Negro my old man has nothing but good thing to say about this guy
Ironically, Cyclone Negro was involved in a match that first made me think wrestling wasn't real. He was taking on Tony Atlas in Roanoke,VA in a "taped fist match" Cyclone was being managed by The Missouri Mauler at that time (1978 or 1979, Mid Atlantic)...the match went back and forth and at one point, Tony Atlas tried to punch Cyclone, who ducked. It caught the referee right in the face, and he fell but jumped right back up. A few minutes later, when both wrestlers were coming out of the ropes, Cyclone and the ref collided - barely shoulder to shoulder contact - and the referee was KTFO...come on!!! Of course, MM jumped in and he and Cyclone double-teamed Tony until the crowd started chanting "People's Champ" and Tony got all Hulk Hogan-like invinvicble and beat them both out of the ring. I left the Roanoke Civic Center that night older and wiser.

I think it's sad that some of the guys in the 50's+ are still on independent shows, i:e Nasty Boys, Valentine etc etc
Not sure if it the addiction or the fact that these guys have no other skills as well as no money and it is all they can do...
-
What a fun thread. Takes me back to my childhood.
Here's a clip of Karl's dad taking on Stan "The Lariat" Hansen with a very young Bobby Heenan outside the ring. One of my earliest pro wrestling memories was of Hansen breaking Bruno Sammartino's neck.

This thread is classic. Thanks Karl.
Wrestling in the 80s was the heyday IMO, after then it became too comercialized. I imagine it was great in the 70s too but thats before my time. Being a real wrestler, I enjoyed the guys who were shooters and did hard work matches early on. Outside of that, Flair was the king.

Haku was actually a bad ass in real life and most of the wrestlers never fucked with him. He actually tore out Jesse Barr's eye when Jesse spit on a ditch digger in Puerto Rico.
Tony Atlas was and is still jacked
Larry Zybsyko used to work at the Zayres department store by my house
Shane Douglas used live in Rochester,PA by my house
Mick Foley went to Domenic Denucci's wrestling school which was close to Rochester
Bruiser Brody flushed all of David Von Erichs drugs in Japan before they came to his room and found him
Bruno Sammartino used to run at my grade school
-
I love this thread. It's funny how so many have come out of the woodwork to chime in.
I was never much of a comic book reader as a kid, and we used to attend tons of "house shows" in the Carolina's when I was growing up.
I once saw Flair wrestle Wahoo McDaniels on the Cherokee reservation here in NC. Talk about HEAT. Before the match even started a guy in the crowd threw a chunk of brick at Flair, missed him and it hit the ref in the mouth. They carried the poor guy out right beside us, he was bleeding like crazy and missing some toofers. Ah, good times...good times...

Tony Altas is a friend of mine.Tonys birth Name is Anthony White, his birth day is April 23, he is 54 years old.I know this because I try to call him every year on his birthday.Tony is a really really nice guy.He was the reason I started bodybuilding. After seeing him on TV, I alaways wanted to be built like him.Anyways I met him about 5 years ago at a convention and we keep in contact 3-4 times a year.Tony is a great guy, and really down to earth. He had the best body of any wrestler period. He won the Mr USA title twice, and several other bodybuilding contests.Tony in his prime had a 60" chest a 30" waist, and 23 1/2" arms, and bench pressed 659lbs.The only anabolics he ever took was testosterone and d-ball tabs.Imagine if he had the crap they have today, beack then.HE told me when he won the Mr USA, the first time, he only prepaired for the show for only 4 weeks.Ivan Putski the Polish power was getting ready for the show, and talked Tony into doing the show with him.So tony did the show, and won.
Tony did not, and still doesnt not like Rocky Johnson. He told me Rocky Johnson is a snake, He said, " Rocky Johnson "wouldnt have anything to do with anybody that was African American, he only had white friends and would only date white girls. He said that Rocky, and 3 other wrestlers were in Texas getting ready for a match.Rocky rented a car, and dropped Tony and the 3 other wrestlers off at the hotel rooms, and had agreed to pick them up that night for the matchs.Rocky picked up the 3 other wrestlers that were white, but didnt pick up Tony Altas.
Tony told me there was a time were Rick Martel left a car at Rocky Johnsons house, while he went home to Canada for the summer.Rocky Johnsonm sold Rick Martels car to another wrestler.Rick came back looking for his car and Rocky told him he didnt know it was. When Rick Martel found out Rocky sold his car, Rocky never did give Rick Martel the money he sold his car for.
Tony just signed with the WWE, again, but up until then he had his own wrestling organization Atlas championship Wrestling and is a personal trainer at Fitness World. He lives up in Maine and still loooks really good for being 54 years old.
There was never a wrestler who ever was as muscular, or looked as good as Tony Atlas

Absolutely - and Brett movie aside - I saw them wrestle for at least 25-30 minutes. They were all over the ring and outside. It really was amazing. I mean real wresting holds and shit as well as the usual stuff. People went nuts. Oh, and it was the last time I saw Andre. He did not look healthy and really did not wrestle. He did go over the top rope but only kinda grabbed the guys as the went by him - no real ring stuff. He died shortly after. :'(

Shawn Michaels is the worst thing that ever happened to the entire Heart Foundation. Best the is, best there was, and the best there ever will be? Bret Heart has a permanent foot print on his head from HBK.

Shawn Michaels is the worst thing that ever happened to the entire Heart Foundation. Best the is, best there was, and the best there ever will be? Bret Heart has a permanent foot print on his head from HBK.
Shawn Michaels was an immature prima donna who disrespected the business with his selfish behavior. He didn't want to do the job and drop the belt, even though it had been done for him. He was a big mouth, who when push came to shove would run away like a little girl.
-
My favorites are Heenan, Flair, and Mr. Perfect. Not Shawn Michaels. But HBK sets the bar higher and higher everytime he enters the ring. He's such a great athlete. There's still a Undertaker/HBK fued on the back burner. I'd bet if anyone is gonna beat the Undertaker at Wrestlemania? It's gonna be Shawn Michaels. For the fans. Hell in the cell II. Michaels vs. The Undertaker. It's gonna happen.

Anyone got any pics / info / stories of The Texas Tornado (Kerry Von Eric)? Guy had a great build (better than Ultimate Warrior and Lex Luger) but died while he was quite young :-\
I met him in the early 1990's. He committed suicide. So many of the Von Eric's died a tragic death. I think one died from getting electrocuted. Kevin is the last remaining Von Eric I believe.

Hey Karl, I never was a really huge wrestling fan, I mean I know alot of the guys being posted from the late 80's and early 90's but when you get into all the technical stuff I am lost.
However, I grew up in the Metroplex so I am aware of the Von Erichs and all that, course.
I lived in Grapevine around 1987 (just a little kid, 1st grade) but I do remember the local wrestling show that would come on where the Von Erichs and Percy Pringle and Mark Emory would come on.
Anyways, if you remember that, then you will remember that they would always have these two older guys who would just kinda walk around the ring during the matches, I guess to stop from the crowd interference.
One of those guys lived in my apartment complex,(it was called Pearl Tree apartments at that time) I remember he had a room full wrestling memorabilla that was really cool. If I remember correctly his name or nickname was Curly, any recollections of him, maybe your father will remember him.
-

Anyone who chimed in on this thread will really enjoy "The Wrestler" movie starring Mickey Rourke. The rave reviews of Rourke's performance are well-deserved. It was about 20 minutes into the movie, before I said to myself, "That's Mickey Rourke." He had me believing in his character from the first minute of the film.
-
The Road Warriors are one of my favorites(RIP Hawk). Greatest tag team in history, they were the first to really bring a true brawling and dominant force when they started challenging the more technical-savvy Four Horsemen.
Here's a few facts and figures about various wrestlers past and present from a longtime fan myself:
- Lex Luger is crippled and has become a Christian.
- There are many rumors that Macho Man had sex with a then underage Stephanie McMahon, which is the major reason that Vince Sr. hates him so much.
- Warlord of the Powers of Pain wrestling team was freakishly strong and had one of the more impressive physiques wrestling has ever seen.
- The Nasty Boys threw Ken Shamrock through a glass window in a hotel.
- Booker T served time in state prison for armed robbery of a Wendy's...while he was an employee of Wendy's.
- Big Van Vader once powerbombed a jobber so hard that it broke the jobber's back, crippling him for life. Vader was so distraught over the situation that he was driven to tears.
- Big Van Vader's eye once popped out of his head during a match in Japan.
- Andre the Giant once fell asleep in the ring during a match with Big John Studd. It is said that Andre liked to drink copious amounts of wine during his days.
- Kurt Angle kicked the shit out of Brock Lesnar while on a plane.
- JBL often bullies rookies. As a practical joke, he likes to enter the shower area with a hardon and pretends to want to rape whoever is there.
- Randy Orton took a shit in one of the WWE diva's luggage bags.
- Razor Ramone often no-showed events due to drunkedness.
- During WCW, Mr. Perfect, Lex Luger, and Konaan were under the ring apron to come out from under it after the main event, so they were under there for a couple of hours at least. Mr. Perfect in the course of that time had to badly take a shit and did so in a metal bucket. It's said the stench was so foul that both Luger and Konaan vomited underneath the ring.
- Triple H was trained in the ring by Killer Karl Kox himself(pretty sure its true??!!), and was also trained by legendary trainer Charles Glass.
- Rowdy Roddy Piper smashed a full bottle of beer against his forehead causing him to bleed profusely. Like a champ, he went on with his live promo as if nothing happened.

Killer Kowalski and I don't think he ever trained with charles glass cuz HHH was based in Massachussets during his formative

He confirmed stories of Haku's bad-ass credentials, said NOBODY would mess with him!

I miss the period of like 87-92. The golden age IMO. 93-96 sucked, then the Monday Night Wars and Attitude era was great and it started dropping off after 2002.

Glenn (Disco) is also freakishly strong. I used to see him at PowerHouse in Alpharetta where he would come in and do chest and would bang out 8-10 reps with 405. No spot, no breaking a sweat either.
Buff Bagwell had the puniest calves you would ever see in your life. Like toothpicks. Rumor was he had calf implants that had gone bad and almost crippled him. Had to have them removed. Another dude that went to the same doc always wore black combat boots and black microshorts, on the outside area of both of his calves was always a red oval mark. Like he had been sitting for extended times with his leg crossed over his knee. Big red splotch where the implant was too close to the surface.
Glacier was the manager at that Power House gym after he got booted from WCW for his attitude. Kenny Kage and Chaos (that old buff tag team... would like to see pics of them now) were both Asst Managers there for about a month before they all got fired at the same time. (Glacier had been there longer)
Jim Powers was a legitimate strong man. He would regularly rep out with 315 on behind the neck presses. There was a reason he never really made it big in the sport but apparently it was hush-hush because no one would ever say what it was or talk about it. I wonder what he looks like now days.
Van Hammer was said to be the biggest thief to ever walk into a locker room. So much that when he was on the card, wrestlers would take turns sitting in the locker room being a designated look out for other people's belongings.
Eddie Guerro uses to buy his Rejuvenate! (GHB) from MidTown Discount Supps when it was legal and being sold there. He would buy a case at a time along with several 5 lb buckets of whatever whey protein powder was the cheapest. heard he often mixed whey and tuna in a shake and then had a spoonful for peanut butter or mayonaisse for the extra cals/fats. (though I would think the PNB would be more healthy than mayo)
that's about all I know.

After Kevin Sullivan defeated The Man with No Name at Slamboree 1995[2] Sullivan started to hear a voice calling for him, urging him to come and find him. After Sullivan searched high and low he came to a cave in “Parts Unknown” where he found a mysterious figure covered in dust and cobwebs. Sullivan immediately threw himself down in front of The Master who proceeded to tell Kevin Sullivan that from now on he was "The Taskmaster" of the Dungeon of Doom and that the task was to destroy Hulkamania

Of course the guy is going to lose size it's been like 15 years and hes 10-18 years older, do you expect people not to age like yourself. Wrestling is a hard business. Whats your excuse for not having any size? Loser.

The funny thing is my dad is 77 years old acts like he a young man. He punched a dude that lives down the street from him about a month ago knocked the dude off his feet. He is still a tough old bastered.

Yes and no. When I was younger my dad would help a guy he knew with his school from time to time. I would get in the ring to demonstrate everything cause my dad would always say " I did not come down here to get all hot and sweaty. " We always thought that maybe I would go down to Mexico and start down there but I just never perused it. I don't think I'm big enough to wrestle. I'm only 5'7 or so about 190lbs. My brother works for a rather large Indy promotion doing TV commentary and managing and I have thought about wrestling there but have never done that either.

-
He's lost his marbles. He rambles incoherrently and is constantly public speaking.
Couple of stories....
I think this is back in the early 90's, I was living in Milwaukee and working at Bally's in Brookfield. The ultimate warrior came in and wanted to work out in jeans and a tank top. This was not allowed by Ballys. Well, they found him these grey sweat pants to wear that were 1 - 2 sizes too small. The shirt had some gay ass saying on it. He was PISSED...but it was late and he had no other choice except not to train.
I also was best friends with a guy who worked at the Mc Donalds that was the site of some wrestlers tore apart from the DRIVE THROUGH. He was flipping burgers when this stone/boulder came flying through the drive through window. I remember this rock. Think one of the two smallest atlas stones on WSM events and you will get an idea of it.
Mr. Saito, his dubious claim to fame usually is going to prison (along with Ken Patera) for attacking two police officers after throwing a boulder throught the window of a McDonalds in 1985 in Wisconsin.

I know Macho man used to be so jealous and did not want anyone around Elizabeth. At wrestle mania 5 he wanted Pat Paterson to personally escort her to the ring he did not want the normal security guys to do it.

He's impressive for sure but I'm just not a fan of him. I will tell you this though. I sat third row last year in MSG for the Royal Rumble. When Cenas music came on and he came out at the thirtieth entrant. There wasn't one person in the Garden that wasn't full of goose bumps. Thats the only time I ever really "felt" John Cena.
-
Cenas work is sloppy at best but the guy is a draw to the younger genration of fans that WWE cater to right now. Cant fault him really.

I herd that he did not know how to keep his mouth shut. I think WWF had big plans for him but he left and went to WCW and they did nothing with him. That happend to a lot of guys, then they were stuck there because of their contract. Tom was good partners with Rick Martel The Can-am Conection
I thought Tom was suppose to come out with some book that talked about all the behind the scene shit that Vince use to pull.

Sloppy to say the least. Hows about that match with him and HBK at Wrestlemania? HBK makes everybody shine. But Cena looked like an amatuer that night. He's really not that talented. And that night you could see it as clear as day! I'm tired of all that soldier salute wannbe shit. Was he even in the military?
-
His wrestling ability is below par at best as I said before but he is a good worker in the same vein as Hogan was never a great technician but was a good worker in my opinion.

While Hulk might not have been a technical genius, he was a freak in that you had never seen a guy that big who could move like that.
Cena has big muscles but he's barely six feet tall and looks awkward and uncoordinated in the ring.

I've seen clips of Hogan when he wrestled in Japan, he put on some great technical matches. Cena's not Malenko or Kobashi in the ring, but he's come a long way.
-
All im saying is despite his lack of technical ability in the ring he has the ability to draw WWE fans into his matches regardless of his shortcomings which to me is a skill in itself.
The guy is a draw.
-
I will say this Cena has gotten better. He works very hard. Is he a Bret Hart or Mr. Perfect ? No, but he trys. He makes a lot of money for the WWE merchindice wise. The kids love him. But I do think he is sloppy from time to time.

wow liger hasnt aged one bit!!
-
I remember watching Jushin Liger in the UK before he made that gimmick popular. New Japan used to send a lot of development talent over here And Liger was one of them. He wrestled as Flying Fuji Yamada (unmasked) and I remember watching him for the 1st time live and my jaw dropping from the stuff he did in the ring. This was about 85/86 time and with british wrestling being very traditional (using mountevens rules which incorporated rounds) and the moves he did looked like something out of the Matrix at the time.
His style has slowed up a lot since then but hes still worth watching everytime he gets in the ring.
Here he is wrestling Mark Rollerball Rocco (was the original Black tiger in New Japan) for the middleweigh title.

I think he's from Michigan.
Boris Zhukov isn't Russian, either. He is from Roanoke, Virginia (like Tony Atlas). Boris used to be Pvt. Jim Nelson.

Eadie as The Masked Superstar was one of my favorite all-time wrestlers. Very underrated in my opinion.

I remember that at one time he was managed by the great Boris Malenko.
Superstar's finish was always that viscious clothesline, then the cobra (he didn't use "clutch").
