prejudging was a buzkill, not as competitive as expected. Surprises in the form of Wolf coming in tremendous shape, and Jay the complete opposite. Roelly and Beyeke with huge improvements.

It's fucking stupid how they do the prejudging. It should have just been the introductions and individual posing routines to garner the hype.

The finals should be left for the comparisons and key callouts.  How on earth should we basically know who the  Mr. Olympia is already?

we hear this every year.  he still looks the same to me.  kai was off so that allowed him to contend for top 3.  rhoden is better.  looks like the same old wolf. it's more than just height.

Yes, Dennis blanketed Phil in that one.  If allowed near the current champ Wolf will overpower him with not only height, mass and aesthetics, but good looks.  Looks that the public can accept.  Phil is not ugly, but he's not much to look at.  Kai?  Yuck.  Lionel is a good looking young kid and should do well in the years to come.

Dennis can do this.

They make these guys wait all night to get onstage, then do about 4 group comparisons and end pre-judging with Phil standing back in line like he's some sort of dominant champion.  Complete letdown.

Kai should be carefull, Rhoden have weak back, but has better lat spread, he does not lack traps. If Kai comes bloated and soft and Rhoden get dryer he can beat him.

Rhoden has better front this year.

Kai gained too much mass and his conditioning is worse than last year.

If only Rhoden had better back, He would beat Kai.

So how do we know that Guys like Wolf or Kai won't look better than Heath tomorrow? Is there still a chance that Heath can lose?

I'm sorry, I liked bodybuilding when it was in the glory days. Yates, Coleman, Levrone, Flex, Ray, Dex, Cutler, Dillett etc.....

Maybe all of these guys can get together and do the Masters Olympia next year. I bet it would be more popular than this crop of pros.  

Sorry, I am still on my Kai Greene meltdown. Kai personifies everything that is wrong with bodybuilding (behind the scenes) I hate him.

For the greater part, unless they got worse over the past year all the competitors looked pretty much the same.  At this level of competition and drug use it gets more and more difficult to improve.  For Wolf, it would be calves.  For Phil it would be chest and overall width.

Wolf is not the second coming of the Oak (and no one is or could be), but he could get things moving to the mass and aesthetic side of the fence.  Everything in this "sport" is subjective.  Dennis has much better looks than Phil could ever hope for.  Phil is no Serge Nubret, facially or aesthetically.  Dennis is Dennis and this time it was good enough to unseat Phil.  I hope.

Great line up, Phil wins by a country mile. Wolf looked great and is in my top 3 with Kai. Rhoden, Jackson and winklaar round out my top six. Jay and Ramy between 7-10 with Beyeke/Branch
