My lats have really been worked over doing edge trimming with a gas trimmer. I go back and forth with the trimmer to get the edges nicely shaped and I guess that really fucked my outer lats, especially the right side. The pain is in the area where it says GET WIDE LATS in the pic below.
At first I thought maybe my kidneys are hurting due to dehydration but the kidneys sit lower. I've never had kidney stones but I know people that have and they confirmed that pain would be lower. I've been drinking more water lately to see if it helps.
Anyone else experience this? I've never had persistent pain like this in the lats after working out in the gym. The pain now comes back when I just lean over a table doing some work. I'm going to take a break from trimming to see if the issue goes away. The grass won't be growing so aggressively for the rest of the year anyway.

Let us know if you develop wide lats from this.

All the landscapers in my neighborhood have barn door backs. It’s a regular topic of discussion at the HOA meetings. I can’t wait to pass along this information!

Obsidian did you know regular resistance and weight training can also target your lats?

HAHA very true brother! I've been lazy the past few months regarding lat training. That's probably why the weed whacker really worked my lats - because they are out of shape. I'll gradually get back to a decent back routine. My back was a strong point in the back. Never had a problem building lats.

Lol yeah I kind of thought of him when I made the post. But the struggle has been REAL!

I made a beautiful pot of sauce last night. I sautéed some grass clippings in olive oil, sprinkled in some pink himalayan sea salt and last but not least added a walla walla onion for extra flavor. Simmered it on low for 18 hours while stirring every 3 minutes. Fuhgeddaboudit!

Add a few sets of your hedge clippers when you feel up to it.
Once a month hit the chain saw hard.

lmfao
I switched to electric trimmer/edger and like it. It's likely too light to yield significant back gains, though
