Additionally, Im not comparing Palin to anyone else, but Bill Gates and many other very successful people never went to college or excelled early in life.  Some people are late starters. 

I did not do well on my math SAT but graduated college 3.96 GPA, and passed the bar exam first time and graduated in the top 5% of my class in law school.

Someones' high school GPA is not the end all and be all for me.

obama hired him to be the chinese finance guy earlier this year.  Many think it was to keep him out of the 2012 race.  But all he has to do is quit that post in 2011 and start his campaign.  The stuff he'd have learned dealing with china, holding this all together... man, he's a stud for 2012.

He'd have to start the organizing/fundraising process while still carrying out the duties of his job as laid out for him by President Obama.

If the economy recovers - THIS DUDE was the one who was knee-deep with china making it happen.  If the economy tanks, THIS DUDE will be able to tell us why, and what obama policy failed us.  And in a debate, THIS DUDE will be able to blow anyone out of the water with his instant credibility on finance.

You say he's tainted by Obama.  I say he's the ultimate bi-partisan finance guy who knows China inside and out.  In a situation where our country is divided by partisan politics and we borrow $3 bil a day from China, a guy who knows china finance better than anyone else, who worked for and with both parties, might just be a curveball that could work.
