Atlantic City - King "Kalami" misses qualifying for the Olympia again in 2008

he was much improved this time out, his pics on the Positive board show that, his stomach appeared way down in those shots and his quads looked great as well.

according to wikipedia, Kalami is 36, and his body is shot with acute 'Palumboism'  in all honesty,  bodybuilding fans are left wondering, where can this amazing specimen go ?!?!  getting 6th place at the lowest ranked show of the year has to be a sign of things to come...

Oh, funniest of all, it says on wiki that Shari is 5'10... I've stood next to him (I'm 6"0-6"1) the top of his head was barely up to my shoulder, making him maybe 5'7 TOPS...sad

There were a few comparison shots posted today or yesterday where he looked a bit watery in the legs, but I don't know if they were prejudging or night show shots.  I don't know if he tightened up by the end or washed out a bit.

If I'm not mistaken, at least Joel Stubbs was not already qualified for the Olympia.  This means King won't be on the O stage in 2008.

His name was spelled wrong in the MD results.  Or maybe he changed it, like Ocho Cinco.  Nobody knows.

Serious question, why do guys like Stubbs and Kamali care about an Olympia qualification?  I can see where guys like Melvin and Freeman would care because they have a good shot at top 6 placings, but neither Kamali or Stubbs would be in contention for top 10 in any given Olympia lineup.

That being said, King improved greatly physique-wise, but his attitude still sucks if he thinks that 6th was being "robbed".

Well gee, thank God you're spending 10 hours a day on the message boards and not lifting weights in the gym to very important stuff like this out.

I'll chime in on why i believe Stubbs would care, because he knows that he will have the best upper body in the show expecially the back...So the broadcasters will be all over that and he will be a crowd favorite...

kamali on the other hand, i have no idea...I guess thats why he concentrates on his silly posing so much...

Not all pros have the same goals...especially at a given tme. JUst making it to the Olympia is quite an accomplishment. Improving is the main goal of any pro bodybuilder, no matter where they are ranked...
