He's been around for ages, and he did shows with beckles at novice/junior level in UK, although younger, I'd venture around 50 something, judging by his face...?

He was amazing as a kid, same arms and tiny waist, just less muscle maturirty

Brian is 50 now,a few months older than me,those pics figo posted are ones i scanned of him from old H+S mags to show the improvements he made each year,and from 18 to 19 the improvement was unreal.the colour pic at 19 is from a guest spot he did before the NABBA Britain when he placed 2nd.In 1983 when he won the Britain he had a 27 inch waist and had to have his trunks pinned at the side,as you can see in this pic.

It's true. He's pretty overweight now.
I met him prior to his comeback in the late 90s. He was very, very fat. I would guesstimate 30% BF or higher. There was no sense that there was a 28inch waist there. He was wearing 44 waist pants and laughing with me and his training partner about it.
He had the confident shameless view of being fat that you only see on bodybuilders who know that when they're in shape, they're unbeatable and look more perfect than nearly any man on earth.
He was very funny, had a great sense of humor, and of course, looked a lot younger than he was (even though he was fat). I remember him being about 5'10" to 6', or somewhere in there. In true island style, he was walking around in some light pants, flip flops and a mesh see-thru white shirt. This, in the corporate building where we met.
We went out to lunch after the meeting and he ran the bill up. He ate like a starving man. But he had the whole party in stitches, so it was worth it.

Yes - I met Brian in 99, before he did a very brief comeback.
And I shouldn't assume he got fat again...that's my mistake. It's just that when we met all those years ago, he was fat, and told me he was happier when he was bigger and a bit fatter. He liked to eat too much, he said. He was obviously not running anything in 99 when I saw him...he was about 280 and quite pudgy - there was muscle under there to the trained eye. Looked like a big dude, but you'd never guess Mr. Universe.
I just assumed he got fat again. Maybe not...anyone have any recent news on him?

Spot on ! brings back great memories ...(it was summer 1989 )walking down the streets of NY for the first time and that mag was practically hanging in every stand/corner ... I didnt know english at the time .... Thanks.

The first 2 pics posted look to be from the NOC in 1998 when he placed 12th/13th and the coloured pic of him doing the double biceps that says "bodybuilding pics.com" is from the 1988 english grand prix and he weighed 210lbs at that show.I was with Linkie Wilson who was a good friend of Brians and we saw him before the contest started and Linkie couldn`t believe how small he looked in clothes,then when we saw him onstage he couldn`t believe how big he looked.

I was at the 98 NOC, Ronnie won Levrone was 2nd. Brian still looked great he should have been in the top 10! That was the best show I have ever been too. Demilia was the best promoter!
