I've never watched a race on TV, I went to the Brick Yard 400 one time (against my will) and I learned my lesson....

Good race. Johnson's team was superior, his pits were great. Hamlin had some bad luck, but I think he would have taken it if he run a clean race...I'm glad Harvick sent that twink Busch flying.

JJ's pit crew had some trouble early in the race, but cleaned it up as the race went on and then nailed it when everything was on the line. Hamlin was almost out early, plus starting from so far back, he definitely worked to make a race of it. Still can't stand Toyota, though, so certainly would never support a Toyota car in NASCAR, even if my own daughter was driving.

I'm starting to get back into it..I was huge fan 10-15 years ago. I was shocked they were running Toyotas. I'm not really a fan of too many guys, everyone I used to follow (Earnhardt Rusty , Jarrett, Labonte,Irvan) are dead or retired. No personalities anymore..even Stewart has mellowed.

Not really. NASCAR is aweome, one of the top forms of motorsports up their with F1. (F1 is more technologically advanced, but thats because the rules allow them to be. NASCAR is just as crazy as F1, for the rules theyre allowed to run.)

it would be fun to drive in a nascar race. but as far as watching it.. they go around in a circle. round and round. not very exciting to me. not to mention most of the fans are negative, ignorant, bigoted idiots.

Yeah I wont argue there, a lot of it for me is that Im going to school to build race engines, and a lot of our students wind up working at the NASCAR Cup shops, so I know what goes into those engines, and that makes me interested.
The tech in those motors is pretty awesome, even tho its limited by rules, unlike F1.

The school is called The School of Automotive Machinists.

You mean an LS motor? (LS3's I believe are what currently come in the vettes base model, the LS9 is the supercharged engine in the ZR1 Corvette)
Our school currently has the fastest all motor LS based drag car in the country, it runs 8.50's in the 1/4, and makes 1000hp with no power adder.

Currently working on putting an LS1 into a v6 firebird i bought for 900 bucks.
LS motors are the shit.
