This is Joella Bernard. And these pics were from her first every bodybuilding contest, the Contra Costa in 2006.

 I was at the show and just amazed as she has so much potential and competing in her first show.

 I spent some time talking to her and just couldn't believe she had such quality muscle on her frame. Shes super nice as well.  Obviously she needs to bring her legs up a bit and could be tighter, but common her first show ever?

Im excited because she is going to be competing again at this years show on May 10th and I will be there again! im anxious to see what she brings.

Hiya Alex   

Nga just took pics of her winning the heavyweight and overall at the Orange County, I think last weekend wasn't that.   And she also took 7th in the heavyweight class at the USA in 2007.

Wow, very impressive, esp for her first show!   :o

Let us know how she does on May 10, alex...and get some pics if you can!  ;)

I'd love to know what her plans are for competing Nationally this year...surely she must be getting on a National stage again soon.

Yeah and you beat her for the overall at show, the Contra.

 I was just saving more stuff for this thread to continue.

 I remember you guys battled for the overall but you had too  much size and condition for her.  For me, i was just super impressed because this was her first ever show. 

She went on to do the USA that year and took 7th and yes she won the overall at the Orange County this year but there were only 3 female bodybuilders total.  The Orange County this year was not as big due to the Emerald Cup landing on the same day. 

Anyways, Joella told me she is doing the Contra this year. I hope she comes in hard.

wow, what a tiny waist she has.

Needs to work on that lower body size and conditioning though. But since she hasnt been competing long, im pretty sure that will come with time.

Or maybe she just needs someone better helping her with her prep, like a certain person with the initials AA

There must be something in the water out there on the west coast, because you guys sure do know how to get LEAN.  Alex, Claire, Joella...Good Lord!!   :o

Joella definitely has potential...the small waist and abs are killer.  She needs a little more size on her legs, esp from the side, and a little more hardness down below, and she'll be a contender no doubt. 

Thanks so much for the comparison pics, alex.  Claire looks fantastic, as usual.   8)

That other chick in there is big!  Smooth, strange lines etc..  But check out that rear lat spread!  One day I hope to get my back that big  :'(

Can tell she has put her time in on the heavy back training, I bet she chins, DL and BB rows her ass off.

Joella looks killer in the front double bi and lat spread comparison shot.

Being her first show, you can see she is not opening up her back and hitting all her poses to compliment her physique, but pretty damn good for her first time on stage.  Like i said, i was kind of blown away that she looked this good for her first show
