Title: i WON the third place in Arab Championships 2009

this is me again :) ... when i finished my first show i did this year and won the first place and over all in 90+kg ,after the show i have been chosen to get ready for Arab Championships 2009 ;D to represent Saudi federation for bodybuilding. one week later i did another ( open show ) held in my city and i won the second place in 90Kg class.

last friday 19 June 2009 i was in Jordan doing the final in Arab Championships 2009 it was the most tight show in t he history of Arab Championships 17 countries and 117 competitors. i Won the third place in the +90 kg class ( 100 class ) im happy with the result i did in this year.

ALL THANKS TO MY BOSS ( The Blacksmith SAMI AL HADDAD ) he is doing my contest preperations without him i dont know where i stand now !! ) thx million my boss ;D

no... there's not a lot of money, if any, involved in 99% of the contests here (when arab federations are concerned) there are sponsored contests, but the prize money is nothing to brag about. most competitors lose money in the process... for example, spend $2000 to win $1000. but here, it's not about the money. it's just the recognition and the title. if you win a title like the arabian champion, you can train people for a lot of money. that's basically it.

but he is starting to have health problems now 40 years later.

i know. thats what i'm getting at. 40 years ago. if he smoked a pack a day instead he'd be dead for sure.

I know of a former pro of that era...same story and useage, haz. try to teach these youngsters here the deal

Actually, I wouldn't call that "A little advice." I would call that an opinion. If you consider the number of individuals participating in competitive bodybuilding in the Middle East, or the world for that matter, I would say placing third in the 100KG class of the Arab Championships winning. Not only would I consider it winning but in Mo's situation I would consider it a really great accomplishment and a definite foundation to build on. If you take a look at last years results from the World Championships and see how they were dominated by Arab Bodybuilders that again is a testament to what an accomplishment taking 3rd place in the Arab Championships really is. Of course this is all just my opinion. Good job Mo. We'll be looking to see a lot more from you in the future.

I don't really know why I'm writing this response because I'm the main one who thinks it's a waist of time. It's obvious to me that you have no idea what it's like to be a competitive athlete let alone a competitive bodybuilder. Actually, I could sit here and type all day and I wouldn't be able to properly describe it to you. That stuff you call BS is exactly what drives a competitive athlete in any sport, and yes, you probably should be amazed at how hard competitive bodybuilders workout and the discipline it takes to achieve the condition they do, regardless of the drugs. The majority of us "Recreational Bodybuilders" would kill to even get close to what these guys achieve. I'm not here to make a statement on drugs in bodybuilding but rather the love of the sport and the "dedication, discipline, and thrill of representing your country" as you stated. These are things you probably know nothing about and therefore it probably doesn't make a difference to you. Although I don't compete and don't have any plans to I have a true love for the sport and can't imagine not doing it. I've been weight training for over 30 yrs and have been a competitive athlete for about the same. I have the utmost respect for these guys and what they do. Of course this is just my opinion. PLEASE BE HONEST WITH YOURSELF, AND JUDGING SYSYTEM WAS AGIAN ONE OF THE WORT IN THE HISTORY OF BODYBUILDING, EVEN THE LOCAL CHAMPIONSHIP JUDGING SYSTEMS BETTER THAN THIS.
THERE WAS A LOT OF PROBLEMS, EXTRA WEIGHT IN DIFFERENT CATEGOTY, JUDGES WAS CHANGED FREQUENTLY BY THE PRESDIENT ADEL I ORDER TO WIN THE TITLE, AND SO MANY JUDGED FOR THE 1st TIME IN THEIR LIFE, AND GOOD YOU GOT 3rd PLCE.

IF THE JUDGING SYSTEM WAS FAIR AND JUSTICE HOW COME EGYPT WILL WIN THE TEAM CHAMPION, IRAQ 2Nd, AND SUADI ARABIA 3rd. FOR THE LAST 8 YEARS EYGPT DID NOT PARTICIPATE IN ARAB CHAMPIONSHIP, BECAUSE THERE WAS DOPING , BUT WHEN ADEL FAHEEM WON THE ELECTION AS THE PRESIDENT OF AFBB, HE PARTICIPATED WITH TOTAL OF 32 , FROM OFFICILAS AND ATHELETES. IT SEEM IT WAS A SOCKER CHAMPIONSHIP, AND NOT BODYBUILDING.

his waist is like a balerina in ciruis and his torse is amazing and so are his arms ,, he is symetric and have every body part developed well then the respond to gear is great ..the more he took the better he looked thats how ron was better in this case means bigger because this is what the ifbb went for in those years still does but with ron it didnt matter his condition was still superior on stage while being the champ even when bigger ,,

sami and the other fella dont get even remotely close ,,,a lot better thna them did not ,,this is something you either have it upon first look on hormones or dont

I've been doing it for years and I know what it takes to achieve the kind of conditioning that these guys do. Respect? no thanks, guys we see in the magazines wouldn't set a foot in the gym without some ''help''.On the other hand i do like the ''training&nutrition + watching your body change'' parts that go hand in hand with BB.I generally like the idea of staying fit and looking good without being addicted to the needle.And since i've followed BB for 10 years I'm still interested in who wins the Olympia............or are you saying this site is strictly reserved for schmoes?

I can see where you're coming from on this but being that we've decided on bodybuilding as our sport/recreation/activity of choice, then we take the good with the bad. I'm sure there are many competitive bodybuilders out there that don't partake in many of the vices you mentioned. I'm not just talking about the guys you see in the magazines. What about the guys you don't see in the magazines. If you look at the total number of competitive bodybuilders in the world (any organization) and compare that to the numbers you see in the magazine you are probably talking about less than 1%. Bodybuilding is so much more than that. I don't envy or respect the drugs, prostitution, crime, lies, etc. but those aren't the things that made me love the sport. I was addicted way before I knew anything about all that stuff. I'm not saying this site should be reserved for only guys who believe one way or the other but I would think that people who would take the time to sign up and spend there valuable time on these type boards would have a common love for the sport. As I said before, constructive criticism, disagreement on various subjects and having different points of view is not the same as bashing, disrespecting and name calling. We are all here because of a common interest (I think). In the famous words of Rodney King, "Can't we all just get along?" lol IMHO

im 27 years old.
i was football player since kid i was playing in defense in the left side i got some trophy and medals . and also i was tennis-table player in my college and won every year the first place and got trophy while i was going to gym at same time 2002 then i concentrate more in bodybuilding till 2006 trying to do my best and looking for professional bodybuilder to get better bcz i didnt like my currrent situation. then i met Sami ( my Boss ) Dec 2006 . i did my first show 8-2008 and won the first place in 90Kg. then May 2009 i did my second show kingdom elite championship i won first place on +90kg and over all that day i have been chosen to get ready for Arab championship 2009 . one week later i did the second show i placed second in 90kg . after that i placed third in the Arab Championship 2009. all that sucess because of SAMI AL HADDAD ( My Boss ) bcz of him i dont know where i stand .. he started with me from zero. and here im ;D im happy being with him .. and its only the beginning ;) Alhumdolilah . i will do my best in the future ...

I've been told he did but couldn't find any information on that. Just thought I'd check with you to see if you knew. Thanks for the info Mo. I can't believe Kaseem placed 4th. I would have liked to see the 3 guys that placed before him. They must have been really good. I saw a picture of him on Facebook and he looked like he was in great condition. Well, any information you get on details or pics would really be appreciated. Thanks.

this is me again :) ... when i finished my first show i did this year and won the first place and over all in 90+kg ,after the show i have been chosen to get ready for Arab Championships 2009 ;D to represent Saudi federation for bodybuilding. one week later i did another ( open show ) held in my city and i won the second place in 90Kg class.

last friday 19 June 2009 i was in Jordan doing the final in Arab Championships 2009 it was the most tight show in t he history of Arab Championships 17 countries and 117 competitors. i Won the third place in the +90 kg class ( 100 class ) im happy with the result i did in this year.

Arab BBing has come a long way in the past decade...Egypt owns the IFBB world comps and the Arab comps are eagerly watched by many fans. Too bad there isn't a website for these contests. The IFBB website is so slow in posting pics from this area of the world. Don't they know what a huge fan base there is for Arab BBers? The website www.arabmuscle.net is good, but it doesn't show comps.

Is the drug testing in these events done to ensure that all competitors are drug free or are they done to ensure that the competitors don't use so much, for so long, as to fail the drug tests done directly prior or after the competition. As you all probably know it is not hard for an athlete, with a little assistance or knowledge, to use certain drugs up to certain points and be able to pass the drug tests when the time comes. In my personal opinion I believe that this problem is inherent in all bodybuilding competitions that have a requirement of being drug free. The only way to ensure everyone is participating on a level playing field is to remove these "Pie in the Sky" restrictions and open these comps up. If not then they need to totally revamp their method of determining drug use from the competing athletes. Drug tests should be required year round or at least randomly throughout the year in order to better ensure all competing athletes are truly competing on the same level. That's just my opinion.
