heavy pressing and lots of it. as long as you go to lockout, you'll get full development. i got a fuckload more mass on my triceps by doing two bench-based workouts a week than i ever did pounding them with those cute french press / close-grip 15-20 rep supersets and hours of rope pushdowns.

my favorite bodypart to work:

seated overhead DB extensions  5 x 8

one arm cable pressdowns 5 x 8

dips   2 to failure (bodyweight only)

this seems to work all two heads ( i still dont know where that 3rd one is)

Anyone use wide grip underhand bench presses?  Saw that on Wojo's dvd, never tried it though.

Might try positive/negative tricep extensions with the help of a training Bud. Lay flat on a gym mat or kneel before a bench with the elbows on that bench. Using a double looped end strap, long towel, belt (karate/judo belts work well), etc, hold both ends of it. You training parter, holding the other end, will apply resistance slowly behind you as you straighten out the arms all the way . Thats the positive part. On the way back to the starting position, your partner will pull back slowly as you resist his pull all the way back to the original starting position.. Thats the negative part. Total, one positive/negative rep. 8 to 12 reps will fry the triceps to the extreme. Do two full sets, which should be enough for most mortal men. And that should be the only tricep exercise you will need or do in any workout. This positive/negative resistance movement also works well on the hams.

DB pullover & press. With the pressing part, keep the elbows in and in line with the body, not moving outwards. Hammer grip throughout with the DB's.

Dips, with the body at 180 degrees (straight up). No leaning forward or even backwards at all. Have a training Bud hold your feet or legs in a straight position. If your gym has a "V" dipping bar, than try for a narrower grip position as you can.

I have not done any direct tricep exercises for years and for a lot of guys the BP, overhead presses and dips can take care of the triceps very well. But if anyone feels the need, than the above exercises have worked for many a man I have seen. Forget about any special exercises for the head of the triceps, that's mostly hype anyway. Just keep it simple and slam the triceps to your hearts content. Good Luck.

Triceps.....it's commons sense

Dips are to the Tri's as What the bench press is to the Chest.... 8)

Once you can do dips with a few 45 plates on a Weight belt....then you will be a true man ;)

Or you can use a dip machine(Where you're strapped in with a belt and has a weight stack)...but not every gym has one :(

After dips....the next best thing is cable press downs....and one-arm reverse cable press downs for more concentration and detail....

Everything else is just bonus....like skull crushers, kick backs, one arm extensions, ect

SERIOUSLY....I SAW THIS GUY IN MY GYM WITH MONSTER TRICEPS. I ASKED HIM WHAT HIS SECRECT WAS???........HE LAUGHED AND PUT ON A WEIGHT BELT...ADDED SOME PLATES...AND DID LIKE 20 REPS.

.........And NAVY SEALS THINK THEY ARE THE ONLY ONES THAT CAN DO DIPS ;D ;D ;D ;D
