in one of arnolds nbodybuilding books he gave a workout plan for beginners to be done 3 times a week
deads superset w/rows
mili press superset w/lat raises
curls superset w/dips
squats superset w/leg curls
flat bench superset w/flyes
all 3-4 sets for 8-10 reps. is this too much for noobs

yes that would be too much if you go to failure.

If you grow, feel good and have fun doing it then no its not too much. If you are doing it because Arnold SAYS to and you feel obligated then yes it is.
