although sarcasm appears blatant.. I will say Filipinos are extremely family-oriented and share similar qualities to many Italian families that I have encountered.... Work ethic will prove everything (type of mentality) ---> CHECK Respect for our elders ---> CHECK Respect for all other cultures --> CHECK Live and breath to support your children just so they do not have to struggle-->CHECK.. And I am not even going to get into how we hold family get-togethers/parties... I can say we have assimilated to the American ideology quite well and the majority of us despise making excuses... This is my perception of my culture and have been told by others outside my ethnicity that they have observed the same degree of camaraderie from their Filipino friends... Outside geographical location, a good majority of Filipinos do not consider themselves ASIANS. We are descendants of the Malay Tribe and if you go deep into the provinces of the Philippine Islands--u will also see tribal ancestry very much similar to Africans--ie/ the Negritos(another sect of Filipinos). Further,we have been raped n pillaged by Spanish sovereignty for over 400 yrs... It is very difficult to dissect a pure FILIPINO...it is inevitable to accept our mainstream categorization and can see how many do not care of our differences --> where we are easily grouped into one stratosphere ...I am 100 % Filipino regardless of the mixed blood ...embrace my ideals but have always made an effort to understand other cultural ideologies .. we all have our strengths/weaknesses... Which is y I started training n dieting at such an early age.(Many Filipinos develop type 2 diabetes minus the obese phenotypes) My peers could never put down the deep fried sugar meats over the heaping servings of starchy rice... Just somehow blocked them all out as they would scrutinize my nutritional habits...real grateful on how it payed off in the end.. I believe as a whole.. We have more than decent genetics to respond to efficient training and sound nutrition. But know the majority have a difficult time ditching homemade asian food... For the past 15 years I've had University educated flip-flops working for me, mostly software developers. Talk about herding cats.
On the bright side, they cost less than 25% of what you'd pay someone from the US. So whilst you need 2 flip-flops for any UK/US educated programmer. You still come out on top.
Of course, they are very emotional and use the flimsiest excuses to not turn up to work (my dad needed a ride to the airport one of my favourites).
As for family oriented - sure. Until that is, your brother borrows 15,000 Pesos from you and then does a runner never to see you again. People will literally disown friends & relatives over $500 there - I've seen it time & time again.
The country itself is a filthy, corrupt, dangerous, shit hole with some of the poorest food on the planet. It's the only place I am regularly offered 13 year old girls by taxi drivers who in the next breath will claim to be devout family loving Catholics.
On the bright side, it's not often you see armed guards outside a McDonalds. At our office, we have armed guards at the entrances AND on each floor by the lifts.
You have to really keep your wits about you there, not only because of the criminal element but also because the police/immigration might just set you up to extort money from you.

Further, I will go by experience... throughout undergrad...the majority of my Filipino colleagues somehow would always represent the top of their class... n' not all of them were anything special (intellectually speaking) but we all knew what was stake at home and how our success meant everything to our families -- most of us were emotionally stricken w/ that incentive and would do whatever took to make our families proud.hence--"work extra hard if u dont got the smarts." I see the same story here in medical school... we all do it for our own reasons-- but family pride is still what generally keeps the fire burning. i'm not stating other cultures don't share this same mentality--that would be ludicrous... but know this is an overwhelming consensus among Filipinos whom I've encountered..esp now here in Med school..where there are a shitload of Filipinos hehe... but none as jacked as me LOL

Work ethic will prove everything (type of mentality) ---> CHECK Respect for our elders ---> CHECK Respect for all other cultures --> CHECK Live and breath to support your children just so they do not have to struggle-->CHECK.. And I am not even going to get into how we hold family get-togethers/parties... I can say we have assimilated to the American ideology quite well and the majority of us despise making excuses... This is my perception of my culture and have been told by others outside my ethnicity that they have observed the same degree of camaraderie from their Filipino friends... Outside geographical location, a good majority of Filipinos do not consider themselves ASIANS. We are descendants of the Malay Tribe and if you go deep into the provinces of the Philippine Islands--u will also see tribal ancestry very much similar to Africans--ie/ the Negritos(another sect of Filipinos). Further,we have been raped n pillaged by Spanish sovereignty for over 400 yrs... It is very difficult to dissect a pure FILIPINO...it is inevitable to accept our mainstream categorization and can see how many do not care of our differences --> where we are easily grouped into one stratosphere ...I am 100 % Filipino regardless of the mixed blood ...embrace my ideals but have always made an effort to understand other cultural ideologies .. we all have our strengths/weaknesses... I have just always been eager to learn and adapt... this is my individualistic human nature hence-- allowing myself to pursue attraction outside my own comfort zone.. i accept daily stigmatization for being the delineation of the norm... but it has always made my life that much more interesting... Confidence in recognizing your vested commitment to writing your own novel bleeds intrigue across your face. Plus, she lifts weights like a champ, even does front squats with a barbell and I'm teaching her power cleans.

yeah-- im barely grasping the 170lb range there.but rarely do i ever look at a scale. QUALITY OVER QUANTITY any day of the week! Really don't like going above a certain bf % and lose my jawline BUT when i was younger--i wouldn't care--- used 2 sail over 200 lbs-- but looked like complete dog shit and felt like it too .. Currently, lb for lb my strength is def still on par w a lot of my juiced buddies but concentrate more on muscle maturity n quality separation.been consistent most of my life.. and can easily fluctuate in weight depending on course of nutrition ... right now i prefer to stay lean and conditioned... more looks by chicks rather than doods n ghetto fat chicks.. love my lady but still feels good knowing ur still on point

2 b honest.. i wouldn't say so.. most Filipino male's that I know are very obnoxious and cheesy when it comes to humor... as to having no shame of facing embarrassment... I happen to fall into that category.... W/ regards to food... I can cook em' all... healthy versions or homemade renditions... the same goes for all other asian dishes.. i'm def a hardcore foody and am always trying 2 find alternatives to achieving the same great taste minus the unnecessary caloric mess.. luckily my chick has been open to trying out these filipino dishes... she just has a difficult time adjusting to the fishy dishes... some things u just can't force ... but overall, there usually is not a problem... i kinda have a good feel of what she would/would not like

She literally grew up in a small town surrounded by farmland..... regarding your story in Manila.. Stan def has me on conditioning. but ive seen him several times in person n' i def have him on aesthetics/genetic structure when dialed in.. he's not that proportionate..esp w his biceps insertion(n short muscle belly)... but he has made an excellent build w/ his genetics... For me... Fitness is just a hobby on top of my other interests... where Health and Nutrition are my priority.. so i wont be mad that i will never exhibit that type of muscle (intracellular water) fullness when dieted down or even showcase that type of juiced vascularity.... we all do know that bbing is a drug game all of them are nothing without it, I don't know your drug regime or anything but lots of factors come into play , u might not even respond as good as he did which is proven for him since he's been on for 20 years I take it . Work ethic will prove everything (type of mentality) ---> CHECK Respect for our elders ---> CHECK Respect for all other cultures --> CHECK Live and breath to support your children just so they do not have to struggle-->CHECK.. Further,we have been raped n pillaged by Spanish sovereignty for over 400 yrs... It is very difficult to dissect a pure FILIPINO...it is inevitable to accept our mainstream categorization and can see how many do not care of our differences --> where we are easily grouped into one stratosphere ...I am 100 % Filipino regardless of the mixed blood ...embrace my ideals but have always made an effort to understand other cultural ideologies .. we all have our strengths/weaknesses... I have just always been eager to learn and adapt... this is my individualistic human nature hence-- allowing myself to pursue attraction outside my own comfort zone.. i accept daily stigmatization for being the delineation of the norm... but it has always made my life that much more interesting... Confidence in recognizing your vested commitment to writing your own novel bleeds intrigue across your face. asian women, white women, and all other types of women that i have encountered from socal actually shared a lot of similar qualities from my experience. yes, they are a product of their money attracting environment.. unfortunately, it has also greatly shaped their personality development... not saying all.. but i have seen too many good gone bad... one's interpretation of a "greater quality of life" is subjective.. lucky to have done a lot of traveling..i have developed a greater appreciation for the little things and have been humbled enough times to devalue certain superficial criteria . a woman w/ a mutual understanding of this perspective of life is what intrigues me.--this inevitably sparks the "challenge" inside me to want to improve and live up to her challenge..There is a lot of complexity within the simplicity of these type of women that I am now referring to... and yes I was w/ my lady b4 med school, where she did 1st see me as that meathead from the gym... worked very hard 2 dispel that mythology from the get-go.. your statement-- "you aren't her and you don't know exactly what her true primal instinctive motives are." you can say this about EVERY women u initially encounter.. this is where men need to step up their reciprocal value and show what they have to offer w/o ever subordinating the importance of what their other half has to offer.... when there is mutual attraction and development.. mutual understanding and trust ensues... and this is why she is wifey u stop appreciating and acknowledging your genuine understanding of her.. she will always notice this -- and she too will cease to find interest in u.....

Good outlook. Tho' in real world it's better to stay low-key... As these individuals that are pariticipating in a board like this (most of them statistically are prettly plain/simple and quite narrow-minded persons) exist in the reald world, just they aren't so obvious with their hate/jealousy. And while on a cyber forum you may just get some harsh words, in real world people like that may try to actually harm you in some way, if your presence (as in achievements, way of life or just a genetic inheritance you've got from your parents) makes ém feel inferior and hopeless.

My eye is on the prize and cannot let that distract me... There is greater importance in being able to do what u love doing down the line... this sacrifice will pay off in the end.. worked too damn hard to make it this far - where complaining has never gotten me anywhere..... one's ethical principle entails a major component towards what kind of physician one will become.. I am just glad to have seen both sides of the pendulum ...where working for an accreditation will never blind me into developing a superiority complex...... for I have been discriminated against my life whole life

yeah-- im barely grasping the 170lb range there.but rarely do i ever look at a scale. QUALITY OVER QUANTITY any day of the week! Really don't like going above a certain bf % and lose my jawline BUT when i was younger--i wouldn't care--- used 2 sail over 200 lbs-- but looked like complete dog shit and felt like it too .. Currently, lb for lb my strength is def still on par w a lot of my juiced buddies but concentrate more on muscle maturity n quality separation.been consistent most of my life.. and can easily fluctuate in weight depending on course of nutrition ... right now i prefer to stay lean and conditioned... more looks by chicks rather than doods n ghetto fat chicks.. love my lady but still feels good knowing ur still on point

I actually wear beanie + thick sweater during most of workout... like to keep full body warm during weight training... then off w/ the sweater after the heat gets too unbearable and drenched in enough sweat... ;)
