90% of tats look like shit but you get the 10% that actually look good and can enhance someone's appearance.
Chicks with tats is again, hit and miss with it usually being the latter.

You pretty much nailed it. When I was young the only people with tattoos were military guys and bikers. Now on the beach you have grandma, grandpa, mom, dad and teenage kids all with tats. It's just played out and the fad is over.

But hey, if you like them get them. I'm just glad I didn't follow the crowd. I think I learned my lesson during the disco era wearing polyester pants and shirts with white capezio shoes to da club about being a follower.

Easy to find good designer tats on tall good looking guys with full heads of hair and strong jaws. Seeing 90% of the population are short and dog fucking ugly, even the best tattoo artists can't help them. Not that they'd see it that way

There is a saying, "Good tattoos aren't cheap and cheap tattoos aren't good."
My guy is on average 150-200 an hour.

I would say the standard today is much better than in my Day. Remember going in a studio or rather a small dingy room with pics all round the walls... The guy tattooing was drinking whisky. guy he tattooed moaned and he poured whisky on his arm...true story. Outline was thick as fuck.
