Absolutely not. Savage was always careful. Not the daredevil type.

I saw him do the elbow drop off the cage vs Ultimate Warrior in Madison Square Garden, NYC. Warrior kicked out, did his shoulder tackles, body splash, 1-2-3 pin. Sherry tried to sneak up behind Warrior and hit him with the loaded purse. He then gorilla pressed her and threw her onto Macho Man. MSG was going crazy!

Chef Timmy, I was just thinking about you the other day while browsing some past threads on the board.
How have you been?
Glad to see you back!

Left NYC for the mountains of North Carolina. Can contribute a bit more since life is a whole lot slower here. Lots of interesting stuff going on in the World of professional wrestling. Mr. Perfect month made me come back.

Very nice, welcome back  :)
Wow, must have been a house show...I would have paid to see Savage do a flying elbow off the cage.

First he hit him with the elbow from the top rope and Warrior kicked out. Then he went to the top of the cage. Everyone was on their feet screaming. Out of control.

And, I'll bet UW kicked out of the elbow from the cage, too.

Damn it...

There aren't enough hours left in the day for me to rant about the days when "finishers" were "finishers" and signaled the end of the match.

I can understand that to an extent - he was the "monster baby-face" they had to get over by pushing him in that manner.

What is more disappointing is that lots of guys now kick out of what used to be finishers like a big elbow, etc. And, that's nothing new. I noticed the trend back in the early 90's.
Moves like the DDT used to signal the end of the match. Now it's barely a high spot.

As far as physicality, the bar has been raised as high as it can go. There's nothing the fans haven't seen, and there's nothing left to do.
